Hello all,

I found something that really works for the hood squeeking issue. I purchased some felt pads for furnature. Item # 257952 (six to a pack)@ Lowes, see pictures attached. There about 2" or 50mm in size. They are rugged and fit well in the space under the hood where the rubber meets the hood. They black and are easy to apply and last a long while. Cost $ 3.60. I hope this will help someone else. Some hood height adjustment may be required, by turning the bolt holding the rubber grommet

I used HD velcro pads.

Search and you'll find P/N's for side bumpers to put on the fenders.

The Ford part numbers for the rubber hood bumper posted in other threads is N807055-S, or N804384-S. The latter appearing to be the better choice.

I bought the 55-S's and did it just yeaterday. While the squeak is gone, the hood now does not sit as flush to the tops of the fenders as it did before. I see the 4384-S will work better, as I think the Ranger the 7055-S is for had deeper fender shoulders. I did adjust the bumpstops in front, to no avail. I am worried that over time, the edges of the hoodsides will prematurely wear/collect stone chips.

I'll let you know if it 'settles' over the next few days into the new rubber...otherwise, I'll be grabbing some of the other ones.

I have ordered part number N804384-S. They are supposed to be hood bumper that is very small. There's a pic of it in one of the bigger hook squeak threads.
