Good morning all,
Well, I finally got to drive the recently Eaton Converted Marauder last night. It's been 6 lonk weeks, but after a few hours last night of playing tiddlywinks with the new alternator regulator and wiring, I finally got good voltage, and took the girl out for a spin. Nothing crazy yet, as I have yet to get her tuned, but that's coming a week from Friday. Can't wait.
So, in the meantime I have a couple of things remaining to finish up before all is operating as it should be.
1. I got a P0443 Code - EVAP solenoid something. I don't currently have the EVAP solenoid hooked up as I wasn't wure what to hook the hose to. I can't remember what it was hooked up to in the stock set up, and was hoping someone could enlighten me as to what to do with it. I still have the stock mounting location available, as well as the wire harness and I believe 1 of the hoses makes its way back to the fuel tank area. But what doI do with the other hose?? Where did it go before??
2. We replaced the stock Marauder fuel pump with a Ford GT pump and now the fuel gauge is stuck on full. I know it's not full, because we had to drain half the tank in order to change out the pump. Do you think that the float got stuck somehow?? Should I try filling the tank and letting it run back down to see if this dislodges it?? Or do I need to pull the pump mounting hat and attempt to dislodge it by hand?? Any thoughts as to what else it might be??
Thanks again to everyone who has leant me a helping hand throughout the last month or so. It's been a long project for me. Not being able to spend much time other than 1 day a week really slowed me down. Managed to throw a couple of nights in here and there to keep it rolling. I'm very excited to see what whe'll do once the tuning is complete.
Let me know what you think of the 2 remaining issues, and if anyone wants any details, or has any questions about the swap, feel free to ask. I'll be sure to post pics and a write up as soon as I can compile all the pics from 3 different cameras onto my computer.
Thanks again,
Will
