As you can see from the title none of my windows go up or down. Master window switch on door doesnt work and the individual switches on each door dont work. This isnt the first time this has happened, in the past the windows start to work again. The master window switch was replaced last year. Any ideas?

Id check fuses first(someone else may know if theres a relay in there somewhere too, but that would be new to me).....even if the fuse LOOKS good...try swapping another one in there for the heck of it....then go from there...

Not to sound like a doucher here, but did you flip the window lock switch on the driver's door to on? I am not joking, just making sure you are covering all the bases!

You always sound like a doucher, but you are right. I like to go by the KISS, method. Keep It Simple Stupid. I had thought of this too, but when he said it also doesn't work on the master panel, I disregarded.

Drivers window still works when you turn that off. The three others wont work, God mode! :D Sounds like a fuse. I had some that didn't work. I had to take apart the switch relays, clean the contacts, lay down a litlle dielectric grease and reassembled. Easy job. You may even want to unplug and replug all the harnesses JIC.

But the main panel could be f-ing with the other three windows locking them out! Get what I am saying? Maybe the master switch is friend for the driver's window, but also fried in the locked out position for hte other 3 windows??? I don't know for sure... just throwing it out there for troubleshooting!

Check to see if it's blown or you're just wasting a trip...

The fuse is not a regular clear fuse. From the outside it looks as though there is no way to check it. I guess you could use a continuity tester:confused:.

Pull it out, grab another 20 amp fuse from another slot (slot #22 has one) and do a switcheroo. That is a technical Ford term, by the way.

The fuse is not the mini fuse that the other componets use, it is the larger size one that is about an inch wide between the terminals. I am sure there is another fuse in the car like it but not in the interior fuse panel.

Is there a 15 amp fuse that size you can grab? make sure you grab one of something not too important in case it blows....but chances are it wont if you just hit the button long enough to see if your windows start moving.

tjl006,

Some of my windows stop working sometimes especially when it is hot outside. Often I can get them working by bumping the door panel of the offending window while operating the switch. Usually I have only one or two at a time do this, though. Worth a try. Good luck!
