Saw a black today with the "vinyl" half roof NJ plates, need a wash! At the Showboat Casino at around 4:PM on Delaware ave. heading to the the main lobby.

A black with PA. plates passed my coach on the Atlantic City Expressway around 4:45 Pm at the 25 mile post, clean car!!

It's an ooooolllld meme from way back. Jim always threatened to get his MM 'Floridaified' (IIRC) because of his ongoing paint issues. Vinyl roof, Continental kit, Curb feelers, the works.

The 'Landau roof' and the 'Mighty Mercury Sable' go back many years on MM.net.

OK! Now calm down! The Reedman Dealership in Langhorne. PA. sold a number of marauders with half roofs! Deqalership is now know as Reedman-Toll just a name change.

i seen this blk 1 with the vinyl top. it had the chrome rocker panel trim, chrome wheel well trim n chrome SS marauder inserts n its was fugly jus ruined da car i think!...

Ancient history time.

I was the member back in 2003 that posted seeing a new MM with a half vinyl roof sitting in an LM showroom on rt 3 in Clifton, NJ.

Some members thought I was having hallucinations.

When I was looking to buy my car about three years ago I came across a used marauder with a half vinyl roof on the internet being sold by a dealership. They were calling it a "rare newport edition" marauder.

About a year ago (when I was still looking for a Marauder of my own) I saw one of these on ebay, being sold by some car dealership, I asked what the deal was with the roof and if it was a real Marauder, I thnk the answer was something like "Dealer option and yes it is real" dont know how true that is... Was it an option!!!???
