Ive noticed that my car horn chirps on it's own and randomly like it does when you lock the doors with the remote. I thought I heard my car the other day, but thought it was someone else's. This morning, it went 'beep, beep, beep' --three short blasts like someone hit the lock button three times on the remote.
I hit the lock button on the remote inside the house a few times to confirm the direction of the sound, and sure enough, it's my car. It hasn't done it in a couple hours now.
The car has been parked in the same spot since Friday night, un-driven and un-started (it's now Sunday).
No, nobody else is hitting the button by accident.
My first thought is the MM battery is dying, anyone else?

In the rare event, a neighbor may have the identical code to your remote?
It may be a good time to buy that Powerball ticket!

On my MM the horn doesnt chirp when locking or unlocking.
Is your aftermarket?

With the Ford/Code Systems OEM alarm/control module it can be selectively programmed. Mine is the OEM specified system and it will make a short beep and flash the lights, but I could change that if I wanted to. It could be made to arm silently and without any indication.

is that a user changable option.... or a dealer changable thing?

User changeable. I believe it says how to do it in the owners manual.

LOL, no kidding, but- doubtful, as I've had the car a while, and nobody lives next door...never know though...
To the others...yes, it's set up factory, and you can disable the lock chirp per the owner's manual. I have mine set like the way if came from Ford. Hit lock and the horn beeps and the lights flash. Personal preference.

Very common issue with panthers is the hood switch going bad. That's a number one cause of alarms going off for no reason. Disconnect yours and see if the beeping stops. If it does, time for a new switch or leave it disconnected.
