Can anyone tell me what shorty headers & h-pipe will bolt on to an 03 mm without fabrication? 03 cobra,mach1 etc? I will have a muffler shop replace from there back. Also, thoughts on mufflers. flowmasters, magna flow, borla etc.... I think I will keep my factory tips for now. thanks

to my understanding, there are no shortys made specifically for the mm.

There are none. All require fabrication.

The FRPP '03 Cobra shorty headers will fit with some work on the EGR tube. Get the ceramic coated ones - mine still look new after 4 years. They will also bolt right up with the Magnaflow hi-flow CAT X-pipe (93335) - two rear CATS only. X-pipe is 2 1/2" - so it will require a little work to hook it up with your OEM mufllers or ?. Also, the X-pipe needs to be extended ablout 4" to fit the longer WB MM.

There are many, many posts on the subject in the archives.

"Without fabrication" isn't gonna happen, that's just the way it goes. With a little work though there are a number of options. For mufflers... if you are just looking for something that sounds pretty good flowmasters are a good buy... but if you want something that flows well, flowmasters are a bad choice. Dynomax has flow bench numbers for a few different cans on their site.
When it comes to headers the world is your oyster with a little effort. I personally have Longtubes out of a Mach 1 with 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collectors, something that in theory shouldn't fit, but with a little persuasion has gone quite well.

Another subject that has been beat to death here.

You need to put a 1/4" shim under the driver's side motor mount.
The H (or X) pipe will have to be cut and extended about 4" to clear the crossmember.
There is an adapter fitting that is needed to fit the EGR tube.
Maybe a little adjusting (bending) of the EGR tube.
Custom pipes between mufflers and H (or X) pipe.

Search the forums and you should find the part # for the fitting posted here somewhere.

I added the shim to both sides.

what mach1 long tubes did you use and what persuasion was needed?
