This weekend I was able to crunch my old record and get my Marauder into the 12's. Conditions at Ubly werent the best, rain held us at bay for a while, but finally they got the track dry. Of five runs, I managed to crush a real nice Firebird Ram Air twice and a real nice newer Mustang GT.
New personal best is now 12.947 @ 108.87 with a nice 60' time of 1.802 seconds. Traction continues to be the limiting factor of running faster times. Hopefully my widened rims and drag radials will get done soon. This thing just gets faster and faster.

Great Dave, I'm going this coming weekend to see what I can do. Hope in the low 13's.

I dont see any reason you cant get there depending on weather and traction. I got lucky with the cooler weather, but traction continues to be a problem keeping me from better times.

NICE 60-foot time, MI2QWK4U! Can't wait to see your Trilogy-powered times with the widened rims and sticky new drag radials!

I am going to take it back to the strip in the next couple of weeks, so we shall see... A few more burnouts and I will have slicks, so maybe I will run better.

I tried slicks. MT 28X11.50X17 and they did not perform well on this car. Got really "jello like" loose mid track, so, do me a favor, Dave, and drive a few practice runs first, K?

What I meant Sarge is that after I do a few more burnouts with my stock tires they will be bald like slicks!! I cant keep my foot out of the gas! 4000 miles of supercharger and my tread has gone bye bye. My intent is to do the widened factory rims with Nitto Drag radials for when I hit the track.

MI2QWK4U,
Way to go Dave. That is sweet. How did it feel? Did you feel like you got shot from a canon? In time you'll be mid 12's.

I hear ya Dave, the OEM tires are used up and you're looking for options, yes? That's why I chimned in..You mentioned slicks...and "'dem slicks ain't what slicks were..."

Go with your Nitto program, you should be fine, and in the low 12s too. Good luck, eh?
