I was racing with borrowed MT slicks and they had a lot of thread to begin with. During the night the slicks seemed to act more like street tires and they didn't really help off the line anymore... this was after 2 hours straight. I did the burnouts correctly, waterbox exc... but the weather did go from 70 to about 45. The thread was still good.
Was it the weather or do these go bad before they are bald?
I am assuming the weather since it went down to 45 or close to it.
Thoughts?

If you really meant "you're" then you need to purchase a spell/grammar checker of your own!
Also, colder tires don't grip as well, but if you were doing a burnout, they should have gripped just fine. I'm not an expert here, though, so take my word with a grain (or tablespoon) of salt!

Sounds like to me the track temp went down and/or maybe some moisture got on the track. You would have had to roast those tires to compensate.
How good was the track prep?

You guys are missing the major issue here, his problem is with ware. But is the problem the chinaware, software, or maybe the flatware??

In the other thread about racing, you mentioned driving someone to the parts store to get an O-ring. Did you do that on slicks?

Yes I did. When I got back the slicks were good for another hour.
There eventually was moisture on the track though. I didn't think about that.
Looks like we have an answer!

It seems to be widespread,
That threads don't get proofread,
But at least I'm not Joe with a box full of AJs PMs unread.

Well then it's a good thing he didn't hook up with that chick from the track or he might have gotten stains on Mickey's threads.

No I drove to the track on the street tires. Your slicks are fine bro.
Hickery dickery dock, a girl was sucking my *o**, I gave her five bucks and dropped her off at the next block.

???
Obviously they are street legal, but they are very soft and wear quickly, not to mention it only takes a sharp rock to get a flat, ask Mike, the guy I bought them from.
Dom, I'm sure you were experiencing a moisture issue, these have only spun on me twice in fifteen runs usually at around 50 degrees and still it was a let off and rehammer incident and all was good. Plus I tach it to 2 grand and then immediately to the floor. I think i've actually dented the floorboard trying to get more, and I never do John Force burnouts, probably five seconds or so.
We have been getting some real cold air and dewy nights all week.
BTW, the real question here is What were your times?

Much smaller. So small I pee on my own balls.
Bob, in the other thread I stated I ran 12.7, but I didn't get around to posting the 60 foot times or anything like that yet.
