Hey all,
What is the OEM 80MM MAF rated for HP wise? I want to make sure I dont have to do this after the motor get installed and have it re-tuned for the new MAF. I am expecting to be right around 380-400rwhp....so
Which MAF should I go with my setup (see sig) if its needed:
Lightning 90MM
SCT various flavors three I think
C&L
Thanks fellas:beer:

PMAS makes great MAFs I use one of their 100mm units... They might be the ones making the SCT units.

I personally don't know of anyone who has used these http://www.abacoperformance.com/ (http://www.abacoperformance.com/) but they seem like they would have the most room to grow. All the write ups about them have been great. Plus they can be swapped between cars in about 10 minutes without even having to hook up a computer. You can choose between 10 different calibrations by turning a switch.

According to Ford the 80MM MAF will support 425hp. Hmmmmm might have to consider doing this swap now versus later so I dont have to tune twice.

Lightning MAF should support 540hp.

SCT 2600 or 2800 should do the trick. Or maybe just add a MAFia MAF extender from Diablosport to your stock one. Since the future SC upgrade will probably include a (blow-thru) MAF.

I'm starting to think the SCT 3000 would be the route to take....oh boy....my budget keeps going into the red every time I come on this forum......I might have to live in it pretty soon. Your killing me Brian......LOL

The Lightning MAF on my Procharged Marauder was pegging out at 400HP. I replaced it with a BA3000.

I was making over 650 with a BA2800. Keep in mind that there is such a thing as too big. More range, less resolution. Makes it harder to get a smooth AFR.

So going with a bigger MAF say BA 3000 is harder to get a smooth AFR?
2600 or 2800 would probably be fine. Also, talk to your tuner. The tweakers have a lot of personal preferences or particular ones they are familiar with.

Thanks Juno. They said they had the BA 2800 or MAFia in stock so I'll probably go with one of those.

Depending on the type of SC the stock Marauder maf will peg around 400 RWHPthe 90 MMLM pegs close to 440 RWHP, all these are in suck through, you will never come close to any of these numbers in a blow through, the maf will peg very early so a maf extender will be needed or a larger maf. Such as what SCT offers.
