Hello MM's owners, I'm having trouble on choosing between the areo turbine 2525 and the flowmasters for my marauder. Which one would sound best on our type of car...any suggestions will help. Thanks.

AeroTurbine's all the way but that's just my opinion.
I had Flowmasters Super 40's before, got tired of the drone and switched to the Aero's and love them. My car is louder and quieter when it needs to be with the Aero's than with the Flowmasters.

As a representative for Ourdealsrock I would like to offer a special because we arent going to let some nobody out sell us in Aero. I will do (2) Aero 2525's shipped for $175 for this forum only. 888.368.9430 ( I have 49 instock ) I also am willing to run a special for any Mangnaflow or Flowmaster parts that you commonly use. Give me some part #'s and I will let you know what I can do.
In reguards to the x-pipe vs. H-pipe we have always had better luck with making more power if you use a baffled style muffler ( Flowmaster, Flo~Pro ) with a H-pipe because both the muffler and the pipe use pulses to work. The X-pipe works well with straight thru designs ( Magnaflow, Dynomax, Borla, Aero ). So to answer your questions of what makes more power the X-pipe or H-pipe it all depends on the the rest of the exhaust. They both can be just as effective.
Most of the modular turbo folks use ultraflows for the least backpressure. Sound great also.

How loud are the aero turbines 2525. Are they louder than the flowmaster 40

Louder as in throatier sound yes they are when you want them to be. But as cruising speeds and around town at least to me they are quieter than the Flowmasters.

how about those two mufflers and SLP loudmouths?...im trying to figure out which 1 would sound better.

SLP loudmouths will be louder and could be more annoying. Personally I can't stand SLP mufflers on modular cars or even 5.0 Foxbody's but that's just my opinion.
Breeze, where are you located? If you wanted to hear the Aero's in person I could possibly meet you some place and let you hear them in person.

heres my opinion on the aeros.
if all your going to do to the exhaust is change the mufflers and tips BUY THEM! they sound awesome. i was very pleased.
if you plan on putting headers on the car and running one set of cats DO NOT BUY THEM! once i did this my car now sounds like a redneck chevy pick up with no mufflers on it! i HATE THEM NOW!!! im really quite dissapointed because they sounded perfect before i had the headers

I recently switched from Flowmaster 40 series to Magnaflows. ITs a bit quieter at idle but just as throaty under acceleration. My flowmasters rusted out and were just junk.

Well you can do all that but whatever muffler you decide on getting make sure you get the exhaust shop to do a flange connection on it so if you don't like it then you can replace it with another muffler and do a swap out sorta. Better than removing a set of mufflers and hacking up the piping to install another set that you might not even like.
I could probably meet you in Crofton one day after work which is like 20-30 mins from my shop in Elkridge. DOOM lives in Bowie area and he has Kooks, x-pipe, Flowmaster Super 44's he might be able to let you hear his.

Flowmaster super 44's all the way. With resonator delete tips. BUT keep the little rubber thingy's off the old mufflers and install on new to reduce drone

If you want good air flow, then flow masters are NOT what you want. They sound good, but that's about it.

If you are interested in maximum flow for your money they are a bad choice yes, they do not flow much more than OEM. There are flowbench numbers out there you can find online. I wanna say on the dynomax site they have some flow bench numbers on their site too. I mean you can make power don't get me wrong, but flowmasters won't help, they'll sound good though, and certainly won't hurt, but never buy them thinking that they are just great flowing cans. Get em for the sound :D

i could do that, but i jus dont want to limit myself to flows even tho i know what sound its going to make. i want to see how ctrlravens sounds but Impslayer doest like the way it sounds with bolt-ons (redneck style.lol) so i may have to go back to the drawing board but hell, im going to the O.C. meet im sure i will here something i like. :)

Keep in mind, Marauders have a lot more exhaust pipe and will likely never sound quite like a stang

I really like em, they never really irritate me, sometimes I do wish they were a little louder off throttle... but that's why you add cut outs right? ;)
I'll try to get an in car vid over the weekend, they are pretty dang quiet on the freeway I gotta say. Heck just in general they have a real nice mellow rumble to them if you aren't in the throttle.
They never do have that annoying tone I used to get out of the old straight though mufflers. I did have an X-pipe at that time too though so I dunno if the H pipe instead of the X helps with the drone type sound as well too or not.
All that aside I really like em, and drone has really been a non issue ever since the new install setup.

If you want my choice for the mufflers that should of came on the marauder stock-wise. The dynomax turbo mufflers. Slightly louder than stock with a better sound.
