It would be nice if you could search for threads containing more than one word. For example, if you search for the word 'starter', you find about 500 results. If you search for the words 'starter noise', you get back nearly 1000 results! What I would have expected is that you would get fewer results with additional keywords, not more results.
The way search works now doesn't make it easy to find particular threads. A better search might get people using it more often ;)
So, a search for 'starter noise' should return posts that contain the words 'starter' and 'noise', not just posts that containe either 'starter' or 'noise'.
Even better would be the ability to use regular expressions in search terms. Then you could do a really narrow search, like (starter|start.?up).*(noise|cl anking|clicking|knock). But, an AND search would be better than nothing.
