I have been a Marauder owner for one week now and I am stoked. I'm 51. I had a '65 Malibu SS that I sold/traded for our honeymoon on Maui 18 years ago. Then I had an SHO for a few years. It's been boring cars and a minivan ever since - Up until now.
My kids are in high school now, and one is driving, and the van is near deathsso we needed a replacement. I've been watching Marauders since '03. I found one with only 27K miles and I pounced on it. I've changed the oil, tranny fluid and fuel filter now. It is new-car mint, but I am driving it, not storing it.
Thanks already to members for helping me out on a couple off things. Forums like this are invaluable. I'm not going to be modding it - No time or money right now so I'll be pretty boring compared to a lot of members. (man, a SC would be way fun).
The SHO was fun fun fun to drive but except for the 5-speed and Yamaha engine, it was still a FWD Taurus. The Marauder has such a solid frame and heavy-duty drivetrain to start with it is perfect for mods.
