Thanks for showing up last year guys, it meant alot to the residents at the Dupage county Convalecent center. Our job is simple, to attrack attention to get people to come in and buy from the small flee market the residents put on and also their bake sale and such. All proceeds made during the day goes right back into the recreation fund for the residents that Melanie cares for on a daily basis. It raises money for in house activities along with going out to plays, baseball games, ect. ect. It's their biggest fundraiser for the year.

Entry is free, and they also provide free water. This is a very small time show, perhaps 60? cars in all, but that is good considering there isn't much parking anyway. Last year we managed to create our own parking near the fence with our cars parked in a different direction as all others demanding attention to our beautifull Mercs! We can also leave our cars there, pile into Mels mommyvan and head to my house for grilling??? (about a 1/2 mile away). UncleLar, this may be a great place for a for sale sign. Maybe our inside connection (no names, you know who you are) will let me do another burnout in the Sheriffs parking lot like last year, THANKS AGAIN!!!

Let me know who is coming, I plan on being at the McDonalds at County Farm RD & RT 38 (Roosevelt rd) in Wheaton at 8am and leaving at 8:30 sharp (that means you Drew & Dom LOL)to get our spot secured.

Anyways hope to see the Windy City Crew.

Time: Leave Mcdonalds at 8:30, arrive at show at 8:31 (check in time) show is from 9 - 2.

Place: 400 N. County Farm RD, Wheaton IL.

Hey Bob,that was the last cruise night of the year in Lombard tonight. No wonder everybody was there so early.
That silver Mustang you didn't like with the body kit,he got froggy on St.Chas.Rd. right before I left and the cops lit out after him, when I went by on Main St. they were giving him some souvineer pieces of paper to remember them by.
I left about 9:30 and had a good time.A lot of people asked about the MM,maybe I'll get some good hits on it.(though I STILL really don't want to sell it)
Ya think maybe Drew's embarassed to show up when there's a pretty DTR gonna be there?lol.

Last night of Lombard huh? No wonder it was so busy. You stuck around till 9:30? Holy crap! Anyone else get squirly?

UncleLar
09-12-2009, 10:22 PM
Nah,just the 'Stang and he basically just sped down St.Charles.
Every body seems to behave themselves pretty well, hell, who would want to be the one that got Cruise Night permanently shut down, they tolerate very loud exhaust,a lot of engine revving and some vehicles that are obviously not quite street legal.
I still can't remember what manufacturer made the front wheels on that Hemi 5 Window Coupe, those were real old time racing wheels though.

There is a handfull of gas station washes between 355 and county farm on rt 38 plus one nice regular car wash on the south side of the road. Or if you run 88 to Winfield rd. there is a decent touchless at the bp at Winfield rd and Warrenville rd. Hope this helps.

In that case take 355 to rt. 38 and head west. The regular one should be open or hit one of the gas stations.
