Being that we are all members here on mm.net being a member means we have rules. We have gone over the censoring of "foul" language as well as religious and political topics. Now the time has come to discuss the rules of our Avatars.

1. It it not allowed to be offensive in anyway no matter what.
2, If it's an inside joke of some sort keep it on the inside.
3. We cannot use words such as facists.
4. Even if it is a well known picture and it's even halfway offensive it will be removed.
5. If a mod doesn't like your Avatar it will be removed and replaced with something they think is fitting for you.
6. We are now allowed to put up Avatars from past or banned members.
7. If someone has a problem with your Avatar a mod shall remove it with no explaination as to why it was considered offensive.
8. If you question a mod on anything you will get no responce, so don't bother asking.
9. If you keep thinking of new ideas they will be shut down over and over with no PMs explaining why and if anything you will be a responce explaining that the Mod doesn't have time for this.
10. Be civil and stick to being nice so the cash flow will continue to run in from sponsors of the website. Income in more important than member satisfaction.

That is all and this thread will be locked, removed of kept open for spite.

I can understand why a symbol like the perverted version of the swastika would be banned. But how does that correlate to rule #3 which bans use of a certain word?

Remeber Dom wrote the rules. I have not seen where the owners have stated this! I do not agree with his statements either. Plenty of talk has been done on this site but it needs to be kept civil.

Gotcha. I figured they made him write that as "punishment" for his actions. Civil is good, which is why I can't understand why they took away the thread for us hooligans so we weren't running rampant in the important threads. ;)

See...if I can't have an avitar of an image that somewhat appears like Stevo...and only the finger nail of an uncertain finger is in focus...very questionable and debatable indeed...

YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE THAT IS OBVIOUS!!!:P

I don't see a problem with Stevo, unless it's his genitals I have to look at. lol I hope that when I get to be their age, that my depends don't get in a wad that easily.

Awesome, I've been looking around on eBay for two near the front floor seats for my g/f and I but I think her one son has a friend's birthday party that Sunday to go to :(. Enjoy the show! I saw him in DC a while back.

My bad, I didn't realize my thesis hung in the balance. You are correct, which is why at the bottom of a Wiki link there ARE citeable sources, in this case 13 of them. That is also why the dictionary was thrown in there for good measure. :beer:

I agree, avatars are a little too trivial to cry about.

Were you more or less offended by this vs. the use of the word in rule #3?

While not a credible source, I would say its a reliable guide. In this instance when it's a concrete yes or no answer as opposed to an idea or a theory that would actually require some credibility, I wouldn't even say it's worth mentioning, especially when it IS correct. ;)
