Power steering

I have some Ams oil ATF fluid left. Could I use that as power steering fluid ??? I rerplaced the PS hoses and was wondering if it would work aswell or better ???

Specs call for Mercon Multi-Purpose trans fluid XT-2-QDX

There is this warning: Do not mix fluid types. Any mixture or any unapproved fluid types could lead to seal deterioration and leaks.
