re locate the iac? to where from where?

the iat not the iac. factory maruaders have the iat built into the maf. that would obviosly not work well for a supercharged system, so it was relocated to the lower intake same as the trilogys (reads the same air not 100% sure where it is on the trilogy set ups).

The Cobra has a combined sensor for IAT and MAP. I just figured since you have a cobra blower it already has the hole for it so it would make sense to use it instead of drill, tap, adapt to the Lightning one. You'll either have to just leave the Cobra one installed and unused or plug off the hole.

I see. Just seems kind of redundant to make a new hole and plug the old one to accomplish the same purpose.

Here's the instructions on using the Cobra sensor. It makes for a cleaner install than blockoff plates & such. Plus it keeps the MAP sensor functional.

Pressure. In a NA car it usually reads atmospheric pressure and allows the PCM to make adjustments for changing altitude when you travel. In a blown car it can be used by the PCM to make changes based on manifold pressure (boost). The MM PCM doesn't have the ability to compensate for boost, but it should still be able to make adjustments for altitude.

got a good dent in today. i got the battery moved over to the drivers side. the mount is rock solid. and i think, since i relocated my air suspension pump, i can put a washer fluid bottle under the battery tray. i also made a block off plate for the egr and bolted up the inter cooler to the eaton.

heres the battery tray before the die grinder found it
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y47/blaster250cr/IMG_0903.jpg
and after
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y47/blaster250cr/IMG_0898.jpg

i used the 2 factory mounting holes on the tray. the one on the drivers of the tray lined up with an existing bolt already there. so i took it out and replaced it with a longer bolt that held the tray on the other side. for the passenger side of the tray there was alreay a hole but no nut plate, nor was there anyway to get a nut in there with out removing a bunch of crap. so i made this little guy and was very please with how well it worked. i just held it while i tightened the bolt.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y47/blaster250cr/IMG_0901.jpg
its just a piece of steel bent in an L shape that i welded a nut to.

Somewhere I've got some pics of the sequence to make it. I'll try to find them. (edit: found something).

Started out with a '03-'04 Cobra crossover tube so it fits under the blower snout and has the mounting tabs at the heads. Use the Marauder piece also so the heater hose nipple and radiator hose fittings are in the right place. Cut the tubes on the Marauder crossover and Cobra crossover so that the o-ring slip fitting is straight and not in a bind, as well as not sticking out so far that it will hit the blower belt. Spot weld it together, then take it somewhere for permanent welding. That takes care of the main part, but the hose to the thermostat is now going to hit the alternator. What I did for that is to whack off the hose barb end, chop up one of the unused elbows, add a curved section, and put the hose barb back on. I can't remember for sure, I may have added an extension to move the whole radiator hose connection over toward the driver's side. (edit: I cut it off, flipped it around, and welded it back on to move the t-stat hose fitting). Then remove a temp sensor bung from the Marauder piece and add it to the passenger's side Cobra tube. Each step of the way, test fit, tack weld, take it for "good" welding. (edit: I also added a brace that came from the Cobra piece and attaches to the timing cover bolt on the driver's side, keeps it nice & rigid). At the end, pressure check, powder coat, install. (edit: the filler bung next to the blower had to be ground down to clear the Whipple 3.4 but it will clear the Eaton without mods).
