Oil Pressure Sensor ?

Hey guys

Replaced my Oil Pressure Sensor yesterday, previous one was broken somehow :confused:. Anyway, I installed it and when i start my car, the gauge goes past 100psi. I disconnected the battery after i installed it, forgot to do it before. Maybe i tighten the sensor too much? Any suggestions?

wrong sensor, do you have an after market gauge?

autometer gauge. I believe the original one that came with the car....what sensor do i have to get?

I don't know, but if it has a real gauge there is a different sensor. Our cars came with an idiot gauge, the after market looks just like it.

If you have an aftermarket gauge 100+ psi is normal for cold oil. At idle it should read around 25 psi hot.
