can anyone tell me what a p0456 and a p1000 error code means?

P0456 - Evaporative Emissions System - Small leak detected
P1000 - I/M Readiness

P1000 means the required I/M readiness drive cycle has not been complete since the battery was last disconnected.

P0456 is frequently a loose or bad gas cap, but can be an evaporative emissions issue in the canister under the car, below the trunk. Possibly a loose or cracked hose.

for the p0456 I would take it to a shop with a smoke machine. As with this code you have a hole as small as 0.020 of an inch you can imagined that isn't easy to find visually. the p1000 is from someone clearing the codes and a full drive cycle hasn't been completed since. A P0457 code would have normally been set if the gas cap was left off or loose.

I've never heard of either. You sure you've got the right code numbers?
