Nicely done! I like the louvered hood. It would be tempting if I wasn't knee deep in my '65.

If I had not just bought my Duster, that car would be sitting in my garage....

Not a marauder but a Mercury Monterey.

Still a nice car with that 390 Big Block and a standard on the floor but I think that was an add on not stock.

If you look closely at the fender, just in front of and above the wheel, that sure looks like the checker flag and the Marauder insignia. . . They were available with a 4-speed, but you'ed have to run the 'codes' to get the real story.
Nice car though. . . I wouldn't kick it out of the garage. . .

Exactly^^^^what we all were thinking^^^^^^^^^^...and I don't see what the mileage is--but prolly doesn't matter with a newer engine---

I can never understand why people build beautiful cars and put them up for sale and then leave several items undone before the sale that can really affect the sale value. What -- no wipers, no emergency brakes, no speedometer (cable), no door rubber ?? - that's not suppose to affect the resale value? They even deleted some original molding?

WHAT IT NEEDS:
Nees the rubber door and trunk seals. Needs a speedometer cable, the original did not fit the upgraded transmission. New emergency brake cables. Foot pedal in tact but the undercarriage cables are missings. There are no wipers, This car since it completion has never seen rain, and during the body work we decided to remove the wiper assembly and replace the vented cowling with a solid one, just below the windsheild for a sleeker look. Motor and switch still in tact.

I don't think this was ever meant to be an exact restoration---as in the hole in the hood. As far as leaving things undone----well that's just part of the process.
I've been watching the car for a while--- the owner is moving and not taking the car. So, he has gotten it to this point, has disclosed what is undone or modified to his preference and its up to the buyer to decide if it's worth the $$ and time to buy and possibly take it into a totally different direction.
This auction did not meet the reserve, so it goes on unsold. I know he previously was looking for $9500. If his claims of $14k in paint and body work are correct, he's already taking a pretty good hit in selling, so it doesn't really matter about the few items he has chosen not to complete.
Value? It is what it is, bid accordingly.

My '65 with Merc-o-matic is very cool:cool4:
Besides these boats make my '03 or your '04 seem like subcompacts.
Is your '04 uncool?
