The rear freeze out plugs on the block were the lower intake manifold attaches to the heads, is the size of those openings the same size as the openings for were the crossovertube attaches?

The freeze plug opening's are the same size in the front top of the heads and the rear top of the heads infront of and behind the main intake runner.

Cheap evenflow cooling mod. $155 dollars is to much for a couple of adapter pieces, a couple of brass fittings and a couple of peices of hose. I have a couple(;)) of ideas on how to do it cheaper

Everyone always has an idea on how to do it cheaper. If it is for your own personal vehicle, nothing wrong with that. If you are trying to design a product that works that can be mass manufactured in kit form for sale to the general public, not knowing what their level of mechanical experience is, much harder to do than you might think.

Not looking to mass produce it. Just looking to save myself a few bucks.

The plug is 1 1/4" IIRC. I will be doing the same thing. I already have all the parts just need to tap the head.

You are going to tap the head an install a reducing bushing and some barb fittings? seems like a reasonable idea dont know if I would want to tap the head. Keep us updated.

How do you plan on keeping the fitting in the head without tapping it?

was going to use 98 cobra crossover tube the one with the supports that bolt to the head cut off the two parts of the crossover that actually go into the heads and the seal with an oring. Take those and weld a reducing bushing into them and screw my fittings into those.
