I would like to be able to post a sound clip of my Marauder since adding the SW headers and high flow cat's.

I left the rest of the exhaust stock and would like people to hear what it sounds like just doing what I did on the car. Most people seem to think you need to change out the resinator tips and mufflers to get a great sound and I want to show them the difference with a stock H-Pipe back.

So I was wondering if anyone in the Connecticut area can help me out with a sound clip/video that I can post?

Sounds like a good idea, people are always inquiring about the sound of our cars
under various configurations....

...unfortunately my vid cam is so old it runs on coal and I would have no idea
how to get 8MM video/audio converted over to a format suitable for the web?!

:o

Good luck in yer search!!

Best,
J

I am sure I will find someone in the area soon enough to hook me up that way.

Come on guys, digital cameras are so inexpensive now, just grab one at Walmart and then you can share your Marauders with the world.

It's an older sony cyber shot that I use to take and post all of my pictures on here. But no video camera unfortunatly.

Do you have a credit card I can use to get one because I don't. When your retired/disabled and had to file bankruptcy and on a fixed income banks tend to laugh at you when you want unsecured credit cards.

So I am on an all cash bases for every thing I do for the car and more. So Black Sedan I would not ask for help if I was not in a bind that way.

At the moment I don't even have the cash to send Dennis back the cross over tube he got to me for the cooling kit and charged me a core for.

I have a couple year old Canon Powershot 500 series (6 megapixel) that takes good quality video and has a large couple gig memory card in it. I'll send it to you for free if you can wait a couple weeks for me to pick out a new camera. The Canon still works fine but if you use the flash a lot it seems to drain the batteries (regular double A's) a lot more than it used to so I get annoyed with it if I am taking 100 flash pictures in a row. It will take a half hour video no problem though and it is fine for normal volume picture taking. It was a $350 camera a couple years back.

How's that, will that work?

Steve / Black Sedan thanks for that generous offer and Dave here BTW!

But I am not asking for anything other than someone to take a sound video clip that I can post and or set up a link for. I would never ask someone for anything like that. I to like to pay my own way, kind of the guy pride thing. Not one for hand out's no matter how generous the offer. Use your money for something you want rather than replacing something your offering me Okay Steve?!

This was just an idea for guys who want to know what the differnce is with just replacing the manifolds and cat's instead of doing an entire system and then being upset about noise like I have seen plenty of posts on.

Gas I can swing to meet with someone or even slip them a few bucks in the emergency money fund till I get my next check on October 21st.

You just learn to wait for stuff and save to do what you want. Doing the headers and spoiler and upgrade's is a few years of savings for all of the parts and a little side work here and there for people around the neighborhood on their cars and what not.

I didn't mean to be an asshat, I am a young guy and I just assume everyone has digital cameras, I am from the instant gratification generation so I forget. But the offer stands if you want it, the Canon is still reliable it just is way too hard on AA batteries since I take pictures every day, I just haven't made up my mind on what I'm going to replace it with.

Like I said I do have a digital camera but it is an older one and works well it just dosn't have video capabilities. I bought it about 5 or 6 years ago when they were just becomming popular a Sony Cyber Shot.
I thought about getting a video camera but I just did not see a need for it because I have no living family members to go to functions for and use something like that nor do I have kid's so I figured a camera was enough till now anyways LOL!!

I thought about finding a way to use the web cam and the PC but then said it is too much of a pain to set it all up outside for something like this.

I should check with a few of my neighbors and see if one of them have one I just figured seeing I have never met anyone on here that is in or around the state it would be a good reason to reach out.
