My tips are filthy. We went over how to remove the black paint (I will have to look that one up again) but as far as polishing and cleaning goes what should I use? Do I need a buffer or can I do this by hand? I never clean anything more than the engine usually so please give me every simple step or product suggestion.

Thanks!

Yes microfiber works well but any clean rag will do.

No it comes in a fabric form, you tear off pieces of cloth and use it, you'll understand what I mean once you see what never dull is lol

I use the Mothers Metal Billet polish and have from day 1. Use a normal aplication pad like for waxing and rub it into the pipe's and then as soon as your done rubbing it into the metal use a soft fiber cloth to buff them and take it off. It shine's like new and lasts for a long time.

I just may use a little bug and tar remover before hand if there are large tar deposits first.

Just don't use the Billet on your rims only for the tail pipe's.

That's a great way to safely remove the typical road deposits that collect there. I use 0000 steel wool to apply the tar remover, and follow up with a quality metal polish buffing out the residue. Simichrome or Neverdull will work just fine.

I have used mothers alum & mag cleaner with great results. Never Dull has been around forever and is great on brass, chrome, etc. Either will work fine, IMHO.
