I've got my 4.10s installed!! Woohoo! Just picked the car up. I could only take it about a half mile back to work, but, there is an improvement in get-up-and-go and the pumpkin is quiet as a whisper. They used RP gearoil too. Thank you for the gears Mike! I can't wait to really take her for a romp! :banana2:

Cool. Those aren't new so they are already broken in. Did you use Mikes pinon or yours?

You may still want to take it easy for a while before making 2 black lines a block long... :D

I used Mike's ring and carrier (left as one unit) and his pinion. All new FRP bearings, etc. The pro shop that did it said he's never heard quieter gears aside from Ford factory. He does have the Ford shim tool though! ;)

Woooo. That scared the s%$t out of me, NEVER mix and match ring & pinion for future reference to everybody reading this thread not familiar with gears.

P.S. Have fun with the gears

That'd make for some real grinding from the rear end! I think ring and pinion are matched sets and shouldn't be mixed even if they're all the same ratio. Oh yeah, just SLAUGHTERED a GT earlier. Twice! Rolling, he thought he could pull, then at a red (after he said "Holy s&$@!). He had me for about 3 secs then it was over. Wasn't a walk away, more like running! He and his bud gave me thumbs up as I turned. Woohoo!

Sure! I just have to do some data logging and fine tuning. I tried the BBK twin 65 I have and she ran a bit lean. The computer should adjust automaticaly, but may need some time since it was just reprogramed earlier today. Going to port the plenum intake to match this weekend.

Wicked! Boy you sure are adding the mods on. Gonna go to the drags this year?

I really liked my BBK I had on my old Crown Vic. Did the 65 bolt right on and fit the CAI tube?

Hehe! I had to run to Lowes last night. The 72 mm clamp wasn't big enough to fit over the rubber on the JLT. A 104mm which is the next size up, was way too big. So I put two 40mms together to make an 80mm which worked great. The BBK bolted right on. I have the Plenum marked for where I need to port it to match. I'll do that this weekend. The Proshop put my 4.10 tune in, but, they did the Lidio 91 octane. I put the 93 in and I swear it's not pulling as good. Hmmmm... I may try Mobil instead of Shell for my 93 gas. I have a feeling I'm getting some KR. I'll try to gewt to NE Dragway in the next two weeks!
