I am not sure if this was covered or not but I know there were a few questions about replacing our mounts with some thing in the performance range.

First I did a bit of research at the dealers parts department. All 2003 and 2004 Crown Victoria's Mercury Grand Marquies and Marauders share the exact same part number for motor mounts with the single cams and the dual cam 4.6L engine's. And also the tranny mount's are the same as well.

The mustang takes a total differnt one part number wise.

I contacted energy susupension about the mounts and gave them the info and I heard back from Kevin Lake in an e-mail. He said he would see if they might make a mount for our cars seeing it does fit several differnt car's in the Ford line up it might be a profitable project.

Granted all we can do is wait to hear yay or ney but I figured I would get and take the info a step further than a few random inquirey's to see what happens.

I am sure some of you guys that have built up your car's pretty good would be interested in a better mount. And not want to guess on what can be used.

And yes I have too much time on my hands for silly things and or research when it come's to things I am interested in. I figured a better mount might help when it comes to headers and more.

I would definitely buy something like this if it was commercially available.

I'd think you'd need to talk to some of the members that have broken a motor mount or 2......anybody......hello..... .anybody

Number one after a few years the stock motor mounts tend to start squatting which is one of the reasons why sometimes the stearing shaft get's too close to the header tube's.

The performance type mounts last 10 time's longer. Also they give a lot more control when it comes to high power launch's and don't allow the engine and tranny to shift very much vs the stock mounts.

Also the metal is zinc treated to keep them from rusting so they always look good.

I have seen these in action on Mustangs with automatic's and another one side by side with stock mounts. With the car in gear and brake's on have them do quick rev's on the engine's the one with the new mounts have very little engine movment vs the very noticable movment of the engine on the stock mount mustang.

that may be true but for a street car these would suck. my friend has a 1st gen eclipse with a little over 300hp and it sits on solid motor mounts. all that vibration is redistributed through out the car, it really sucks. for people that are really into racing these would be great though.

Here is a picture of the mustang one's. They are not solid mounts but yes they are stiffer than standard one's.

i'd like a set for both my cars. i mean, urathane mounts on my 17 year old grand marquis would be great. I cant wait to replace those things, on either car.

They said it is still in talk's at the meetings. I told him that interest in here is growing about them. Gave him a link to this page so maybe if they see more guy's looking to get them it might help.
