Doesn't letting everyone know you're packing defeat the idea of concealed carry?

I carry everywhere, I find the map pockets too shallow even for my G39 subcompact, unless I was to lay it down in there in a way I couldn't get to it quickly. I do find that if I leave it in my deep IWB holster, and clip that in there it sits up a lot better. So ya, long answer to a short question.

Sorry Bud not in Cali.

I hear you can appeal the county Sheriff but you'ed better have a good reason because its very difficult in Cali. It has to be life threatening or fear for your live situation. But once you get it you can conceal carry in your Car.

Trunk mounted scabbard holster for my 870. That's as concealed as you can get up here in Canada without having a badge.

There is no such thing as HR 218 for us, either. DAMMIT!

I personally require it. If I intend to take someone down, I want them going all the way down.

You would be surprised at how easily a normal slug will pass through someone and leave that person up and running.

I believe in the philosophy that if you pull a gun out, you better be ready to kill someone.

Man, Mike, I thought you were originally from Jersey????? :P

I'll be able to start carrying tomorrow afternoon. Going to get my permit tomorrow. I'm sure my 9mm will fit, have to see if my S&W 22 will too.

I have a Kimber 45 ultra carry II that I carry in my middle console. Cant get into trouble in Louisiana as long as you're at least 21.

Always carry. I like when some one asks "'why do you feel the need to carry a gun?" I answer "why do you feel the need to wear your seat belt ?" The chances you will get into a horrible car accident are slim.---Oh , you would rather have it and not need it , than need it and not have it ?

Firearms should always be on your person in your control. Never leave them in your car. They should be locked in the trunk and hidden if you can not carry on your person.

Just a little tip! Whoever conceals in the car, beware! If anyone uses Jiffy Lube, Greased Lightning, etc. I knew a kid (back in high school) that did the detailing in the cars that came in and he would always look for NRA stickers on cars and check everywhere while vacuuming for weapons. If he found something, he would note the Lic plate # and after they were gone, punch it up in the computer to get an address...

Aren't you missing a key point here? You can't carry in your car without being in it. What OP is talking about is having a good spot for getting to your weapon while you are in your car, pretty sure he doesn't mean he just leaves it in the front of the seat when he leaves the car, at least that's the way I do it.

Come down to GA, carry in the front seat pouches? Go to jail:eek:.................
Its illegal to have a gun under the seat here, even if you are licensed. The pouch is considered "under the seat" in most jurisdictions (How do you know which jurisdictions enforce this? You don't, so why risk it)..... The center console is not.

Only CCW on my person - know too many instances of officers losing their weapons by auto burgs.
Carry a Glock .45 subcompact and alternate the rounds in the mag - ball, hollowpoint, ball, hollowpoint, etc. Ball for the immediate knockdown effect and then hollowpoint for damage.
Double tap to center of mass and then two to the head. Cover, reload, look for additional perps. Call for the cavalry to assist.
That being said - ALWAYS take the opportunity to run if I can - too much paperwork.

I like your thinking! Mine is never left in the car, always on me. The whole point of Concealed Carry is so that no one knows you have it on you. It doesnt make sense to me to have to re-holster it everytime you get in and out of the vehicle:shake:

This is New Hampshire. My brother has a license to carry and has a concealed weapon in his car all the time. If he gets pulled over, he just tells the officer that he has a license and lets him know that there is a loaded firearm in the car. Lots of people leave weapons in their cars in this state. Every state even city to city can be different. You can actually walk around downtown with any firearm, no licese as long as it's out in the open!
