Do you have a tune, That has the speed limiter removed? Or is it stock.

You should have been at the Muncie Race Track Friday night to see the Shermanator tear up the track in his Marauder. WOW.....just WOW! No disappointment there!!

If you have the stock tune and are complaining about this, you haven't done much research. If you have a performance tune it needs the speed limiter removed. Then you may run into problems with the driveshaft causing the transmission tailhousing to leak or break. That's also been discussed many times. If you're trying to outrun cops, you're gonna get hurt.
Get a tune & turn the governor off.

Which is 120MPH.

Top speed is shown in my sig. it will sit at 126mph all day long with the stock tune, and not a mph more. Much better than my ranger, had smaller diameter tires and the gov. was supposed to kick on at 90mph, but it kicked on at like 74mph.

Yeah on a stock tune I was at 130.......dunno...everyone reports differently but should be in that 120-130 range. Bottom line get a tune problem fix:D

I tested my MM out for a short run at 240 KMS or about 160 MPH  & it still wanted to go faster then that,But the road's here are so crappy I only did it for a few minutes & that was scary enough for me.

If you are going to try to outrun cops, please sell the MM and try getting yourself killed in a Honda instead. At least you won't be ruining a nice car when you crash.

Yep! If you disable the speed limiter, you better have installed a composite drive shaft else you'll tear up the rear end with the OEM shaft.

No tune here! I just have a really hard time believeing that a tuner is going to help me pick up fat chicks.
I mean, that IS what the Marauder is for, right? That's how I've been using it. :D
Seriously, $400 will buy a lot of Old Spice aftershave, movie tickets, and dinners at McDonalds.

I have a late production 2004 model - bone stock - I maxed the speedometer out (140mph) with my foot to the floor and absolutely no governor kicking in....I always wondered if that was normal...I guess not...any idea why the low gov limits on some of these?

Because the driveshaft won't handle it. Been discussed many many times.

Last I knew all MM speed limiters were between 117-127. Did you buy yours used? Good chance it allready has a tune.

Correct 2003 300A was speed limited from the factory at 126 stock tune, no faster

What's a 'kph'? Our cars are limited to 175km/h, stock. I know, I took it that fast on a track several times.
Text me before you go out on the street again and plan on going that fast. I'll be sure to get all my friends indoors, and have Air-1 (http://www.chtv.com/ch/chcanews/story.html?id=1976910) fully fuelled up for a night of excitement.

1. Its not hard to pick up fat chicks... Fat chicks need love to, but they gotta pay
2. A good tune will make your car not suck :censor: and actually move out of its own way :burnout:

1. My car doesn't suck :censor: now. At least I don't think it does... No passengers have ever complained either.
2. If I want to get some place fast I take the Jeep. There is just too many deer and gravel roads to drive the Marauder fast. Harder, faster shifts on gravel is rather pointless.
3. If I need to out run the cops, I always have the dirt bike.
4. When I want to go slow I take the Marauder. Epic fail and loving every second of it!

ya at that speed there is some driveshaft viberation, and I was a long way from air one, like 2 hours away past westlock. I agree an aftermarket driveshaft is a good idea, but I dont usually drive that fast just never maxed it out before I was curious ok i'm sure everyone here has at one point or another. i'm not the only guilty one here lol

Come out and play. Get it out of your system on the track, not on the street.

The marauder with a stock tune, really does suck compared to any of the aftermarket tunes. Its amazing what the car feels like actually being in the right gear and without the tc being locked and killing your acceleration at any speed above 25 mph. It took me a few months when I got the car to decide to spend the money on the tune because it seemed like a lot, but that $300 or whatever it cost, probably kindled enough appreciation for the car that I still own it. Stock, lugging the car down into lockup above 25 mph, made it drive like a lincoln town car and was very uninspired.
