got a set of 03 crown vic steel rims test fitted one it stick's out 2 inches, you would think the offset would be the same no?

They are probably '98 -2002

As Bradley G noted ... If they "stick-out" they're NOT 2003+ rims. *The off-set for 2003+ Panthers is the same.

BTW ... If you opt for 2003 rims, insure that they're not used, defect cast-offs. *There was a recall for 2003 Panther steel rims; weak welds that caused breakage.

Joe, how do you know if a wheel is one thats been recalled?

hmm, i was told all the 16'' rims were the same from 2000 to 05 for civ crown vic's is it just thepolice ones that changed?

Who ever told you that LIED or didn't know what they were talking about.

And ... There is no difference in the offset of any of the 2003+ Panthers. *The P71 ( a.k.a. "cop" ) is a model of that group.

No sire totally different suspension on the 2003 up. In fact we noticed today at a mini meet here in NY today that JVJ's CV sport rims actually are deep dish while the newer ones have a flat offset.
