Yea totally. You're half pissed but half stoked...

The camera is a little point and shoot HD. Costs around 200 dollars. Nothing major. We just need to find a sturdier spot to mount it. We had it mounted to the headrest bars. It was cool but seats like to vibrate. I think it gave it a cool effect though, made it look faster and crazier than it was lol...

Looks like the end of the track is not even paved!

O/D off... +1 Lets the engine do it's thing. Also, not that you have room to do it, but you dont want to hit top gear while WOT (with O/D engaged.)

Yeah ive never had any problems with it out of OD.

Don't you get torque reduction in OD too? Not to mention wearing out those damn bands. You can use engine braking in third to help at the end of the track also.

Sweet camera action! What is that, an 1/8th mile track? Doesn't look like you even hit 80 miles an hour.

OD on or off dosn't change anything but the car going into OD. Its not going to do a full throttle OD shift unless the car is going what? 130-135mph?

I just leave it off so that it uses more of the engine compression to slow down.

"you broke out" "FU%#!!" I laughed my ass off. Been there, done that a few times. But if you dont' break out, you arn't trying hard enough. :)

Lol yeah. Didnt know if anyone would notice that comment. Yeah it had all the right stuff on that run, it was 4/10's faster then my test and tune runs!

Nope, when you don't turn OD off the band is engaged even if you don't get to "4th", a lot of people have learned the hard way, including me, that going WOT without OD pushed off is a good way to burn up the band

why does it matter if it's IHRA?

1/8th compared to 1/4?

RR|Suki

1/8th compared to 1/4?

Oh that's what you meant. No that's not how it works, they are just two different bodies. IHRA has both 1/8 and 1/4, majority of IHRA tracks are prob 1/4 mile.

-Matt-
10-16-2009, 08:23 PM
But arnt all NHRA tracks 1/4's?
