Took her back to Martin, Mich on Sat. Gdmjoe, ntd and the Greek God were also there. Ntd made a great NA run and got the best reaction time of the day! :banana2:T Bolt did her job well and made all of her runs thru the mufflers. The track was slick so traction was an issue. The high point of the day was racing against a friends 63 Galaxie. We had identical reaction times of .12. He would have won if something had not gone wrong with his fuel system! People were coming up to us after the race with big grins! It was a great roll back to 1964 with two Ford Super Stockers going at it.

The Bolts best run was 11.8426 @ 116.08! She stepped up from her old best a lot! The car is getting easier to drive with each run as I am sorting things out. The reaction times are also improving with a best of .099. The bigggest issues left are hitting the shift points with the 4 speed the same each run and traction at the line.

I think we all had a good time even with the delays due to cars breaking. It was a riot hanging out with the gearheads from this site! I will get videos up on Monday of some of our runs that this group made!

The goal is to get the Bolt to run 11.50s. Maybe we should open the headers next time for a little more power.:burnout:

Thanks for making me jealous!!!!!!

Marty you wont feel that way when you take her down the track in Atlanta! Time to start practice on the 4 speed. She is not hard to drive!:)

Nice driving John - reaction times are fantastic!

Un-cork the headers John!!!

Drive a stick down the quarter is a little tricky. When I was 19 the best I could do in my '68 XR-7 was somewhere in the 12.5's. I don't think I could do it at all anymore!

Thanks! This is the first stick car in 15 years. Its way harder to drive than the GM but more fun.:)

John, no joke, let Jeff @ MPH take the 'Bolt down the track and you will see your 11.50 with no mods to the car!!!!!

Congrats, great run!

It's been years since I ran a 4 speed car, and to think that's the way we all used to do it!

...you guys abandoned me before I made my last & best run!...I went to bed with a tear stained pillow last night. :bigcry:

I got the (last) run in just before the rain started.

I left earlier this time (.1376 reaction time), and went 2.29 60', & 15.257 @ 92 mph). Not exactly a world beater, but the last run felt much better.

I need to find out what size 18" Nitto 555 rear tires the L-M auto-trans guy (black MM with 4.11 rear gears) had on his car. Seems like he ran high 14's? I think I would like to go high 13's with mine. Probably tough to do with out some serious mods. I'll have to search & see what I can expect with 4.11 rear gears.

I scaled in @ #4750. Lots of junk in the trunk, etc.

Sorry we left you GreekGod :corner:. My friend and I had a 2hr drive to get back home. I did see your last run as I was leaving looked good. I sent you a pm with a link to the tires. I was expecting a little better from them my last run they spun pretty bad of the line when I loaded the TQ. 4750 lbs  what did you have back there lead bars mine was 4470 lbs. I bet if you got 4.10's, tune, and a 3500 stall 13's easy.

I replied to your pm response. I have the same Nitto NT 555 "Extreme ZR" tires on my Crown Vic (3.55 rear gears), in size 255/50ZR-17 (~27" dia, & 9" tread width). They are not any good at the track, with the 540 rwhp I have. They just go up in smoke (ask John). Really good street tires, though. I need MT or Hoosier slicks (and 31 spline axles) for the 1/4 mile.

In the MM, I have the mail order Lideo tune installed and 31 spline axles (a PI torque converter is still sitting on a shelf). The 4.10 and a Detroit Locker will have to wait for now.

I have a big box with dual 12" subs in the trunk. I have also developed a thin layer of body fat, to cope with working outdoors in the winter.

Nice looking T-bolt and great run. :banana2:

I would really enjoy a run at SSHS9. Give me the right lane so I can see the light.
