You can, or you can actually leave the column together and get to the ign read plug at the base of the column where it plugs in.

I have lojack but other than that the car is factory so I was wondering if it would work okay?

It should be ok, viper is made to work side-by-side with other aftermarket anti-theft devises. An example would be the microwave sensor we added that i demonstrate in the video; its not a viper product, but works hand-in-hand with the setup. A lo-jack shouldn't have interference with it. But you can call viper (DEI), or lo-jack directly and they can confirm that.

They don't tell you where the lojack is nor how it is set up. All I know is the feature about keeping people away from the car at shows is the best part of it to me! LOL! Hand print's, had mustard child print once and more.

Yeah i added the microwave sensor (it reads heat signatures in a 2 zone setup) for that very reason. I have nice dark tint and i hate when people keep trying to look into my car to see what kind of stereo setup i might be running or what goodies they may be able to steal. For the little extra money it is to add that feature its well worth it in my opinion, in fact, its one of my favorite features! (second to the remote start :))

Cool setup MATT. Sounds loud. How does the "light curtain" work when you get too close or inside?

It has 2 zones. You get in the first zone it gives you a warning beep. When you cross into the second zone (reaching in the car, etc.) the alarm goes off.

Sweet alarm, but is there a way to change the alarm sound to something else?

BTW I was laughing my ass off at the end of the video.
