I had a post under the same name a few weeks ago and had some good feed back but then response stopped.. so i am adding the last question i had that no one responded to hoping someone can give some more feed back... here it is below...you can also look back under the same title and see what has been said up to this point...this may not be the way to do it but i did not know how else to get discussion back going...

if it was a blown head gasket wouldn't the oil be milky looking...it is not!! it will build up to 8 lbs. of boost. it is also supposed to have the upgraded intake on it..when i firststart it up after it has sat a few hours it will rough idle like an old car with a four barrel on it when it was cold..but after about 30-45 seconds it will idle fine...i have changed the mass airflow and the throttle position sensor on it...i have not noticed it being low in coolant as i check it almost every other day..(i have already had to replace the motor once because it cracked in the water jacket beside one of the cylinders..so i check the coolant religiously)...one guy told me he had the same problem of smelling antifreeze really bad when he got on his hard and it turned out to be plenum was cracked...i also changed the spark plugs about 2 months ago and gapped them to 54 thousandths..this is what i found on the internet to be the proper gap for a 4.6...is this too big of a gap with a supercharger???
Thanks for all the input so far!!!

I gap the plugs at 28 on my Sc 4 valve motor.

what plugs are you running? the tuner should have told you that you need two stage cooler plugs from stock running a supercharger. stock are 32C, you need 12C.

Yes, the head gaskets can be blown without oil & water mixing. Do a compression test, then a leakdown test.

The spark plug gap with a supercharger should be closer to 28. With lots of boost, 20 lb or so, the gap will have to be even closer like 20 or 22.

You got 3 good pieces of info there ^^^

1). Yes, it's possible for a head gasket to be blown without having water in the oi, or oil in the water, or any other effect.

2). Blower motors need to run a much narrower gap on the spark plugs. My Trilogy runs .032 or .035 (I forget).

3). You should run plugs one or two steps cooler than stock.

#2 and #3 would not cause you to idle poorly when cold, though. They would primarily come into play under boost.

it does skip under boost too..tomorrow i will readjust the gap on the plugs to .32 or so..it has an inline auxiliary fuel pump on it too..how could i tell if it is working properly?
Thanks for the help so far!!!
