Hi Marauder's!

Cool forum! :D Anybody road race their Marauder?

I wan't to see a Marauder on the track! I am taking my 9 year old daily driving Impala SS to Thunderhill Sunday, November 17 (there is also racing Saturday).

Thunderhill is a 3 mile road course located in Willows California (about 1 hour north of Sacramento, California). The track has 15 turns, is 36 foot wide with elevation change of up to 250 feet. It is a safe course with lots of runoff.

Go here (http://www.regionofdoom.com/calendar/events/thunderhill/default.htm) for more details.

There is still some room for a few cars. I want to see if I can run with a Marauder! :) Anyone interested?

I race Formula Fords in SCCA and use my Marauder as an instructers car on course and I also own a 9C1 Caprice 94 w/3.42's hypertech and exhaust. 15 inch 225's tho. The Caprice will straightline my Merc BUT the Merc will pull a better lat g number. I really think the 18's have alot to do with it relative to my cop wheels and tires. Impala SS vs Merc Hmmmm. Sounds like fun! Who wants to meet me at Nelson Ledges, Beaverun or Mid-Ohio for a funday?

I bet that formula Ford is a blast to drive.

Your right, the stock impala (Caprice 9C1) suspension leaves a little to be desired. I went with with springs, shocks, control arms and swaybars to "fix" the handling. :)

Now, if I could just find a Marauder to play with. hee, hee.

Now that must be fun! :D

Our 5 year old daughter took her first racing laps a couple of weeks ago in a 1/4 midget. She had a blast! I was so proud... ... I wish I had the chance to drive an open wheeled race car.
