The car is over serviced, all fluids were changed this year, oil, trans, differential, brake fluid. AC was sucked down and serviced, battery kept on a battery tender.

This car came out of Florida and has never seen winter, it only sees the rain if it gets caught in it, if the previous owner pops in here, he too will tell you what a clean car this is. I would really like to keep this within the Marauder “community”, I don’t think it would look good purple and yellow with 26” wheels doing doughnuts in the middle of a road somewhere.

There was some paintwork done on the left rear quarter by the previous owner, as there was a small ding, he had it fixed, it is un-noticeable( I have the receipt, less than a $600 repair). Otherwise, some small chips and such from driving the car is it, it’s not perfect, but close to it, this car has never been smoked in, had food eaten in it and is always garaged and covered (cover not included). Asking/selling price is 39.5k, price is not really negotiable, I don’t need to sell this bad enough to give it away.

I found a SB and I am going to need to free up some room, therefore, no trades, just cash/cashiers check/money transfer etc.

Some pics, my digital camera is MIA, I will have to buy a new one to take more, or I can just use a cell phone.....Ughhhh.

Just another old Silver Birch, with a twin screw.

Originally when I bought my DTR, I could not find a SB that was worth a hoot, all I found were killed in one form or another. I'm pretty I do really like my DTR, but I have way too many cars.

If this doesn't sell, I am good with that, I should really just do a bored and stroked DOHC and a built trans. and be happy. And I very well may, I'm almost at 500HP @ the wheels now, I don't think it will take a lot to make it 100% what I want it.

Not a real dilemma, it would cost me less to do a motor and trans. than to buy another car. Oh.... what to do....

The air filter.... it's part of the Pro-M MAF, I have another filter with a carbon fiber front on it, to match the radiator cover.

We can trade, shipping is going to be killer, 26K or so.:D

That would be me.

It's a beautiful car.

It pained me to have to sell it ... & I still feel incomplete without it.

I have no problem admitting how OCD I was about the car.

I worried about that car every time I pulled it out of the garage more than I worried about myself.

I wanted a MM before they even hit the streets. Once I knew DTR would be offered ... there was no question I would own one.

If I had the money I would buy this car back in a heartbeat ... but I don't see myself in the position to spend that kind of money on another toy for quite some time.

Somebody PLEASE give it a good & loving home.

Or you could always pray for me that I come into some serious money ASAP.

:P

Good luck with the sale for a gorgeous car,
where is that CF radiator cover from?

Spectragod
11-06-2009, 07:55 PM
Decided to just go ahead and mod this the way I want it, new trans and converter ordered, just gotta find me a forged long block. May as well say it's off the market for now. If it does sell, it will be 4K more after next week.

The CF radiator cover came from a member on the board. If you can find one, they are not cheap.

agreed the SB is the easiest to keep clean, but how big a problem can it be in Fla? No snow, little rain. Of course if you park anything under a pine tree...

awsome car but 29.5k wow!

Spectragod
02-04-2010, 05:27 PM
Well.... first, I don't need to sell it, all the performance parts are new with less than 2K on them. If you were to build it yourself, and decide to sell it, would you dump it for 15K? :shake:

At 29.5, I am going in the hole to the tune of 3-4K, that's parts only, labor would really cost.

It is what it is, I enjoy killing the old men in their 70K Corvette's, that was the reason this car came about, if it sells, I would miss it. Till you drive one that is blown, you will never quite understand the added value.:burnout:

Well.... first, I don't need to sell it....:burnout:

That's good...because the days of selling a Marauder for 29.5 blown or not are looooonnnnggggg gone.

I think Big Joe P lured the last sucker at such a price.

I actually paid less than that for mine...new.

Good luck though.
They say there's a sucker born every day.
And although you might have to wait 17 years for him to get his license...it will be worth it right.:P

Are you serious at that price for it's age and these days? It will never sell. You need to cut that price in half or better if you want to even have a chance of selling it.

Spectragod
02-05-2010, 07:49 AM
Wow, let's all pile on the "your price is too high bandwagon".

If you actually read any of the thread, you will note that I said I am not selling it. But if someone wants it, that's what it will take to buy. Hell, I'm still ordering more performance parts for it.

Why don't you 2 send emails to Mecum & Barrett Jackson, and tell them they are selling those cars for too much, and that they should sell them for something more reasonable, i.e. something you 2 could afford.

Those posts are the reasons that boards get moderated, if it's too much for you, then move on, instead of posting a smarta$$ comment.

While I'm on my soapbox, my car hasn't had the snot beat out of it down the strip, doing dougnuts in parking lots, beat on every day as a daily driver etc.. If mine is worth half, yours is worth $10.

As far as a sucker born every minute, all it really takes is someone who wants what you have, if it's a value to them, that's doesn't make them a sucker, they got what they wanted, sometimes price doesn't matter, i.e. Barrett Jackson and Mecum auctions. 50K for a concept MM convertable with no title, and he wants more, you should call him and tell him that's too much, because your not a sucker, and, you can't afford 50K for a car.:flamer:

Keep it up, Guys and all the Marketplace forums will be changed to allow the opening post only and no follow-up posts. Those interested can email or PM the selling party. If you're not buying, it's really none of your business. Great way to trash a thread.

fastblackmerc

I agree.....

If you don't like the price, don't buy the car!

It's that simple.

BTW... I always get asked "how much do you want for it?'

My stock answer.... "enough to buy 2 more"

I have wondered why it's not like that?
I have noticed a few times here where a for sale thread gets trashed!

I'm giving advice with criticism. Obviously this hurt his feelings and I know the comment was directed at me. I will drive mine until it's worth less than it's scrap value. I'm never selling it anyway, so I'm not concerned about it's value.

Good luck with the sale I guess.

Nope, no hurt feelings here, I have thick skin, your comment was what it was meant to be.... smarta$$ed.

But I can direct a comment or 2 at you. How about this, you were offered 25K for your car, so if it's apparently worth 25k to someone, that would make mine worth 100K easy.

It takes a lot of gall for someone to get on a sale page and berate me for asking what I am, after, he asked members on this board to donate money to him so he can go on a band camp trip, instead of holding a regular job.

I almost gave in and donated to your program, then I thought...... how you act towards people on the board sometimes. Lo and behold, there you are trashing my sale post, go figure, the 12 year old comes out.

And FWIW, your car is already at scrap value, so you won't have to drive it much longer.

Good luck with your life I guess, maybe someday you will become an adult.:baby:

Mods..... I am sorry for all this B.S.
