Does any one else have a problem with oders entering the cabin while the ac or heat is on ? Can anything be done to prevent all the outside smells from entering the cabin ? Is there some way to fab up a charcoal filter placement ?

I have no problems with odors, make sure theirs no dead animals in your air intake for your vents

If I snug up a little tight on a POS Honda or similar, I can get a whiff of exhaust fumes. A little movement clears 'em right out.

I've seen a do-it-yourself system in some FLAPS.

Key on engine off, blower on high. Spray "Odo-ban" into the air inlet on the lower right front at the base of the windshield. Turn key off. Give it about an hout to dry and it will kill just about any bacteria or mold on the evap core and case.

Getting back to the original question, is there an internal cabin filter?

nope. panthers were not high class enough to get a cabin filter from Ford. I have pretty bad allergies and I really wish they had put one in. In the summer if you manually command MAX AC instead of Auto it will close the outside door and you will recirc. My 04 Taurus has a regular recirc. button you can use in any mode including auto, which is a nice feature when you're driving behind an old car/truck that reeks of running poorly.

To bad for us. My Titan has one and it really helps keep the dust to a minimum.
