Hey Guys
I went to get emissions on my MM and the Catalytic and EVAP monitors are not ready. I put 400 miles on the car and went for my retest still it failed due to the same two monitors not being ready. What can I do ????

Chances are you have an aftermarket tune and they turned masked the emissions codes incorrectly. Many tooners do this in a blind attempt to shut off the rear O2 sensors. If your car has stock injectors, MAF, etc. put the factory tune back in for the test.

I have a Reinhart tune.

If you haven't modified the car too much, put the stock tune back in and drive it about a week so all the monitors are ready.

Dennis would know how to correct this if you were to contact him.

My car has only the Evap emissions monitor to be correct to pass. Any suggestions on what to change in the existing tune to get it to pass? Seems like it should be easier to fool with the "good" tune rather than putting the stock tune back in, running like crap for a week and then passing, especially since my plates are already expired.

Contact Reinhart. If that doesn't go anywhere, if you have a 2004 and are NA PM me.

Do the emmision as early in the month as you can so you don't run out of time.
You have to allow enough drive time for these to cycle through when you reprogram the pcm or remove the battery cable. Depending on your driving style a week may not be enough. And you need long streches of road for some of them. Do whatever you can to keep from having to get a new pcm. Went through this last year and it was a PITA!!!.

Going through this right now with my Lidio tune. Thankfully, I'm N/A so I'm hoping that 11 days will be enough time.
