Well, it's been nice for the past couple days so I've got the Marauder shined up and on the road for one of the last times before the weather takes a crap and the car goes into storage.
So I took it to work today, and on the way in I had 4 people give me the ol' thumbs up or otherwise show their love. Had a dopey HS kid in a clapped-out S-10, a ricer in a POS Honda Civic hatchback who tried to race me on the freeway (not worth my time/effort), a gas station employee who asked me if it had the "cop chip" :shake: but said he liked it a lot, and then a local department's D.A.R.E. officer who said he liked my car better than his department-issue Chevy Avalanche (well, duh:lol:).
It's killing me knowing that the car's gonna be in storage in a month.
So then I come to work and get my desk assignment, find out where in the room I'm sitting...and look at my wallpaper on this particular computer:

Joshua: Shall we play a game?
David Lightman: [typing] Love to. How about Global Thermonuclear War?
Joshua: Wouldn't you prefer a nice game of chess?
[Jennifer laughs]
David Lightman: [typing] Later. Let's play Global Thermonuclear War.
Joshua: Fine.

Hey what's up man, I thought I was like the only person in Cleveland with a Marauder! Not really. You just hardly see'em here. I'm a transplant from Detroit, where Marauders and "Clones" are a dime a dozen. Came down here 2 years ago, and I MIGHT see a Marauder once a month. Probably the same one, maybe it's you! I stay in Mayfield Heights. Any gatherings or anything down here? I'm new to the Marauder life. I've only had mine a couple months now. Love it.

Apollo Probably not me, unless you saw me on a Friday night while driving into JCU (I do a college radio show there even though I graduated back in '03).
My friend Colin, who drives an old Cleveland Hts. Crown Vic, has seen a Marauder on Mayfield Rd. and I am wondering if that's you he's been seeing.
Anyway, to task...yes, we get together. East, we do Saturdays at Annabelle's in Mentor, the Tuesday Solon car cruise...west, Quaker Steak in Sheffield on Sundays. Not all the time for any of those - just once in awhile.
We also did Panthers On the Prowl back in July, which was a meet for Crown Vics, Grand Marquis, and Marauders. Had 27ish cars from as far away as NJ and Chicago.
Watch the Buckeye Marauders section...

Glenn Ford Possibly...I just found it online and really liked it. It's an awesome picture! :banana2:

It might be me he sees, or sometimes there's this other guy I see every now and then that has american flag sticker/magnets all over his Marauder. I see that Cleveland Heights Crown Vic slant parked out in front of the Dairy Queen all the time whenever I ride by.

Beach Boys! The show you wanna listen to is RETRO RADIO, which is on Saturdays from 4:30-6:30pm. The kid who does it, Joe, is real into Cleveland's old WIXY-1260 radio station. Kinda weird, since he grew up in St. Louis! Seriously, you'd swear you were listening to a '60s radio station if ya tuned into it.
