hey will an intake manifold from a stock mustang gt 2-valve 4.6 fit on a crown vic. and if so will i be able to keep my upper plenum facing the same way or will it have to go the same was as it does on the mustang?

it depends on what year both cars are.
In 2001+, they changed the vics to the PI heads/intake setup. And the mustangs began the PI heads/intake in 98, i believe.
If you have a 2000 or older CV, you're going to need to get adapter plates to get the PI intake to fit.

Or you can just do what i'm doing and just go put PI heads and the PI intake on your vic.

just point the plenum to the right. It's symmetrical.

Mustangs got the PI heads/intake in 99, when they came out with the SN95 new edge body style

Theirs no point in putting a mustang intake manifold on, its no different really from the stock CV's. Unless you are doing a PI swap then yes, but you could just get one from a PI vic and have it bolt on A-ok

If you need an intake manifold for your CVPI, get a Dorman. I put one on a 1997 Lincoln Town Car and it is holding up well.

You need more then just a manifold to swap to a P.I. intake without P.I. heads. They run about $325 plus shipping, last time I sold one, that includes the manifold. Just a manifold swap will give you around 20hp at the crank which isn't all that much but add a set of the new TFS twisted wedge heads and now you have something.

the 325 is just the intake manifold i take it? if so how much for the heads too?

go to the junkyard and pick up a pair of Pi heads for $40 a piece and have them rebuilt.
