I want to get another alienment. With 37,000 miles since I again have inner tire ware on nw tires. The last time I had this done the shop they couldn't get the camber set to carfixers specs of 0--.3 degree. The best they could do with camber was -0.5 left side. right side-0.8 Toe left side -0.01 Toe right side -0.03 .
I want to pull the camber bolts elongate the slot. This will allow for further adjustment. Can this bolt be removed with out a problem after removeing coilover shock ? I know the slot must be elongated to the dirrection of the motor. Can someone explain or draw a diagram of what portion needs to be elongated ? At bolt head side? At bolt nut side ?

Brian did our car and was able to use Carfixer's specs:

this comes up about once a week here. Do you still have the flags on? You shoudn't need to elongate anything. Is your car lowered? I Think there was someone on here with a very lowered front end that could not get their car within spec with the flags removed and using the camber bolts... if that's you, sorry to hear that

37,000 miles on tires is extremely good though. I get about 20k miles to front tires and they don't wear on the edges at all, I just wear them out across the entire tread surface. Your alignment is not that far off and I really don't know how you could do too much better on these car

Yes the flags were removed. Yes the car is lowered 28" to the fender well. I have no futher room for camber adjustment. The slots must be elongated. How is this done?

I second the camber adjustment problem. My stock suspension 2003 maurauder has the driver side camber set to the max positive and it is -.7 degrees. The passenger side is mid-range on the adjuster to achieve the same -.7 camber.

The slot may not be the only limiting factor. The adjustment cam also limits the max positive adjustment. You may need to gain some clearance on the inner side of the adjusting cam and shim the outer side of the cam to pull the lower control arm farther inboard to get more positive camber. Not easy. Let us know if you have any success.

I looked at possibly removing the camber adjusting bolts, but the steering rack is in the way. So, I gave up and accepted the -.7 setting. My tires seem to be wearing OK with this camber setting.

That's what I ws afraid of having to disassemble the steering rack in addition just to pull the camber bolt. What about a offset upper or lower ball joint is there such an thing ?
