I'm looking for a trans for my 2003 mercury marauder whether its a 4r70w or 4r75w. (If it will work in my 03) any help would be appreciated I'm located near Ann Arbor, MI.

I'm going to suggest you buy one from Darrin at BC Automotive.
You're going to be in it anyway... do it right.

I'd ask for a quote to be sure.
Finding a transmission should not be hard, but you need to be sure what you're getting.

crowns vics, mustangs, im sure there is more. what the differences are i do not know

I found one out of an 03 marauder with 76k on it, I'm going to check it out Wednesday, when I drop the pan what should I look for as far as bad and good, I'm totally new to this.

sorry i cant help man. i know about as much about a tranny as i do a chevy.

Like I told you on the magnet fuzz is normal chucks or flakes keep on looking. The main difference between the marauder platform and all others is the length of the tail shaft. The CVPI and and marauder use a longer tail shaft. I'm not sure about the trucks but I believe the mustangs use the short tail shaft. I would talk to darrin about that if any whould know for sure I would think he would give him a call or send him a pm

So when I drop the pan their going to be a magnet that I'm looking at and if its fuzzy that good but if its chipped uo or flaky that's bad? Ill take a picture too and post it
