Just a lil info fo you guys..If your car makes a ticking sounds underneath when you driver sometimes at different RPM's and it makes a funny ticking at start up its the cat...Mine was not broken up inside but the whole inner of the cat was spinning when i shook it. So i just unbolted the downpipe with cat attached and disconnected from the band clamp and gutted that bad boy out. Problem fixed...Now i wanna gut out the other side.

Some of the ticking is to be expected that just normal with headers period. But what I'm talking about was more like a slight rattle. But honestly who needs cats :burnout:

My Magnaflow cats were restricted, due to a coating of high temperature oil and antifreeze flowing through them.

I hollowed them out too.

WAY TO FREAKING LOUD!!!!!!!!

I have since replaced them.

When I purchased my Stainless Works headers maucat system the metal matrix cats came with the set up. The second week the ticking started. I thought it ws the EGR pipe maybe or a bad valve thank god it's neither. The cats were not cheap. I was thinking of installing high flow Magnaflow cats should I ever have the extra coin not likely.

Did you hollow yours out? I know mine are not that loud..But it was a pain tryin to get that metal material broken up and out the cat. With the downpipes still attached to the cat...Im going to do the other but I might have to take a sawzall cut the it at the weld and have a better angle at breaking up the material and just take it and get it re welded.

Nothing but love from my Stainless works Kit. I ordered the full kit, headers, cats mufflers and tips. i plan on replacing the mufflers to get a deeper tone but other than that, well pleased.

Is there any drone with the full SW kit? I hear they do FREE installs in December of anything you buy.
