I'm taking my MM to Europe with me in January. While I was out to lunch a Smart car parked right next to me. The Smart is very common in Europe. I see parking may become an issue if the spaces are based on the size of the Smart. LMAO HEHE http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=514513162&ref=profile#/photo.php?pid=2888268&id=514513162

I think of the smart car as a love seat on wheels, sort of an extension of the motorized la-z-boy we've heard about on the news recently.

99% of the cars in Europe are the size of the Smart, Yaris hatchback, etc...

Oh, I will. what is the top speed of a MM running 4,10's anyhow?????
Be careful! You may end up powerwashing a crumpled SMART car out of your wheel well..

I don't know but I want to guess (Marauder for $400, Alex) - If it is speed-limited, then it'd be the 126MPH I've heard about.

There are people here to claimed to have gone 160 reporting from a GPS. Mine went 136 and was still pulling when it was stock with a tune. Had to slow down due to a turn.

Space on the rural roads and streets through small towns as well as parking will be a problem, but your real problem will be in getting parts if you need anything fixed.

I saw one of those on the NYS Thruway and all I could think of was the driver had a death wish.

Don't worry about it. I lived in Germany for 6 years (1975-1978 and again in 1986-1989). I never had a problem anywhere that I went. First time I had a '74 Dodge Charger. Second time I had a 1984 Dodge B150 full size van.
Personally, I would love to go back with a Marauder to run the Autobahn (but its more crowded now than when I was there) and the twisty secondary roads between towns.
Gas prices should not be a problem as long as you buy at US Forces AAFES stations. I you have to buy out on the local economy, be prepared for some high prices.

Which country? Germany? Don't think parking space will be any problem. And 99% of the cars in Europe are not the size of a Smart car, allot of people like big cars big cars here to :D
Although we don't have an "autobahn" in Sweden, we have many miles of highways where speed limits are very loosely monitored there is no highway patrol here. If traffic allows I usually cruise at 110mph to save fuel and to not abuse the car to much, 130 mph should be no problem as long as you don't feel any drive shaft vibrations.
And remember to slow down on the sections of Autobahn that have speed limits or construction work, if the catch you speeding there you can get banned from driving i Germany.
Be safe and have fun!
