It's good to see that these items are so appreciated and well received.
Dave and Mike at MCM worked very hard to make it happen ( and I'm sure Steve Babcock lent a hand.) It took awhile, but the time has arrived!

Thank you everyone who made this happen.
FPG did indicate the sequence number was slightly different than what Ray had provided but I will wait till I get the certificate until I understand what the difference is.
This may also finally help my insurance company understand that this is a limited production auto and give me the lower rate like the Cobra.

So whats with the production and sequence discrepancy? how confident are we they got it right? Im seeing some big number differances. Brian (RoyLpita) was giving these numbers out before and i think we all felt they were reasonably accurate, so now all that goes out the window?

I believe the difference is that Brian went by the VIN sequence and Ford is going by the actual build sequence. Cars are not always built in the same order as the VIN.

Did anybody notice that one of the 3 sheets that came in the packet was the VIN Decoder sheet? There should be an asterisk (*) next to the M75 - Mercury Grand Marquis because it would appear that ALL 2003 MMs have the M75 in their serial numbers along with all of the 2003 MGMs. If I am wrong, please correct me. For 2004, the MM got its own Model designation in the serial nbr as M79. I also noticed that the V in the middle of all 2003 and 2004 MMs stands for the 4.6L DOHC engine. Did others pick up on these things?

You are confusing the Production Certificates with the Marauder Art Print from Michael Irvine.
The only signatures that I have ever seen mentioned in connection with the Limited Production certificates were Elena Ford and Edsel Ford. Elena was voted down in a poll by a margin of 99% to 1% as I recall.

Contact "RoyLPita" and he can give you a number in VIN sequence. This may or may not be the exact production sequence since vehicles were not necessarily built in VIN sequence. My numbers were slightly different.

Close as I can come:
June 6, 2002 the first production Mercury Marauder is sold.
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=59139&page=3&highlight=last+marauder#post85 0521
Lost build date was somewhere around late May - early June of 2006. IIRC correctly, is was a SB.
What was the first day of production?
I was told by Steve Babcock that the first day of regular production was May 7, 2002. This did not include the roughly 24 PP cars that had already been built. However, not all the info I've gotten from him has been 100% correct so don't write it down as fact until you see some documentation.

Got my cert today. It came w/a VIN decoder that differentiates the Grand Marquis (M75) from the Marauder (M79). Although I am certain I own a Marauder, my VIN number includes M75. Can anyone clear up the discrepancy?
This might explain why the dealers keep asking me to bring in my Grand Marquis for service!

Yes it does.
The Marauder did not have its own VIN identifier in 2003 and it shared the M75 Grand Marquis code. They fixed this in 2004 by starting the M79 series.

Does it say "Marauder" on the rear bumper, and does it have a 4V engine in it?
If it does, it's a Marauder.
If it doesn't, then it's a Grand Marquis

Rest assured you have an authentic Marauder. The only way to get a certificate is to give Ford a legitimate VIN.

Don't take my tounge-in-cheek post earlier as a dig on you, the confusion you mentioned was quite common with the '03's, and like Jim said, to this day, some folks just figure the Marauder is nothing more than a fancy trim level for the GM.

I thought Roy's number was the job number and FPG number is the cars that actually were built and left the factory. If there was a problem with a car (GM/CV) and it wasn't used/finished, it still kept a job # but would not be in the final production number because they would have to build another one later to replace the defective unit and it would have another new job#.
There was a reason, but I can't recall it exactly..

I ordered the Delux Build Sheet from shopfordgear.com today, has all the numbers and will be signed by Ms. Elena Ford. Same price but I think maybe I should have done more research I like the looks of the SVT Performance certificate thats at the beginning of this thread. Anyone ever order the one I'm taking about?

The build sheet looks interesting. What other information is on it? It doesn't enlarge well. I see they also do older vehicles.

No it doesn't enlarge well at all, I will be sure to post pics when I get it in a few weeks. Hopefully it has all the good production numbers...

It comes with the certificate.
I didn't get a build sheet for my car with the certificate. It just came with the 2003 MM model year trim breakout and option listing and the VIN decoder. There was no "Build Sheet" in the traditional sense with the certificate.

After months of working in tandem with the Motor City Marauders club, Ford Racing's Ford Performance Group of enthusiast organizations is pleased to announce that official Ford "Certificates of Authenticity" are now available for owners of all 2003 and 2004 Mercury Marauder performance sedans. These Ford VIN data Certificates include production date and number, plus original build color and location, and are stamped with Edsel Ford's signature. Also included is a complete build information breakdown for the model year. Priced at just $45, they make a great gift for any Marauder owner.
For info or to order, call the Ford Performance Info Center at 800-FORD-788! Did ford ever offer this certificates for the 03 & 04 mustang mach 1 ?? Thanks

It finally showed up today, yeah no build sheet as I expected, but the breakdown. I need to update my signature now as its earlier than I thought before, same date however. I did notice on the breakdown that one [1] Marauder was built with the basic radio. has this car ever surfaced? being a one of one, makes it interesting.

My breakout shows that one of the Blue MMs didn't get a radio at all. The numbers don't add up. :dunno:

So the question remains was there 328 blues or 327? Some interesting theories and concepts have been discussed at length on this in the past

My sheet shows the one with "standard audio" was black. I thought that the basic CD Player was the only audio option besides the addition of the trunk-mounted CD Player? it shows 1400 blacks with audiophile without the trunk system, and 5,692 with the trunk system.
it also shows 328 Blues, 71 with standard audiophile, and 256 with trunk-mount player.
just seems odd...

Yes I wanted to get one for my old one. Never got around to ordering one. I am making a "shrine" of sorts for my old 'rauder with some old parts I removed. The certificate will be a nice touch.

I need to hurry up and get a 'Rauder so I can get one of these certificates while they're still available! Yes, I'm a massive fanboy when it comes to a car I like...I even bought a jacket way before I've even become an owner! And refuse to wear it until I have one....lol. Still hanging in its garment bag...

So a week and a half after I ordered my certificate I got a call from south Carolina. I answered and a guy said he got my certificate, that all my info was on the inside but the outside was addressed to him. He said he ordered one for his lightning a few weeks earlier and received his a week before receiving mine. I thanked him for calling me and told him I would call him back after I contacted the Ford performance group. I called them back and told them what happened. They said they'd send another one out. A week later ups attempted to deliver it but "the sender required a signature in person" and I work days so they tried 3 times this week and I still have not received my certificate. I thought they were suppose to come USPS anyway. I guess they chose ups and required signature to make sure I get this.one, problem is now I won't...

Have the guy in S.C. send your certificate to you............
Have FPG deliver another one to a neighbor, your place of work, etc.

I found out the ups center was a short drive from work so I went and picked it up. Also I called the guy in SC and told him they were sending me another, he asked if I wanted him to send the one he got to me, I said sure if it was not too much hassle, he said he'd try but I have not seen anything yet.

I ordered mine on 12/27, and received it yesterday. What's weird, is that they haven't taken my money yet, either. I would figure that they'd take it, before they'd send it. Either way, I'm still happy I got it! It would be really nice if I didn't get charged at all. Don't tell them!!!

Two weeks sounds about right. If you don't receive it after that, I'd just call them. Mine came UPS, so they should have a tracking # on it. It would have been nice if they sent one to your e-mail, when they actually sent it.

You had to ruin my day, didn't you? I'm kidding, but for all of you people who want to get one, and wont have the money in your account for about two weeks, go ahead and order it NOW! You'll be all good, and you'll get it before the moneys out of your account. I don't have a Marauder wall, but I'm getting an a good idea of one now. My girlfriend would probably kill me if I did that! When we move later this year, I've already got her talked into letting me have a room, one room, to put all my collectible crap in. Baseball memorabilia, Redline Hot Wheels, Old School Restored Haro Freestyle bike, etc. etc.. The list goes on and on. If I like something, I want all of it!

My son ordered one for me as a Christmas gift just before Thanksgiving. After waiting 3 weeks or so, he called asking where it was and they wrote the vin# down wrong and never bothered to call and have him double check the info.
So, he re-ordered it about 2 weeks ago. Still waiting....
