Disconnect your battery for 20 minutes to reset your codes and computer. Should be fine. Your Oxy sensors need to adjust to the mufflers. Also, check to insure the Oxygen sensors were not disconnected when you put the mufflers on.

P0141: Oxy Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0161: Oxy Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 2, Sensor 2)
P1151: Lack of HO2S21 Switch - Sensor indicates lean

New Mufflers should not cause a light to come on or throw a code. Double check your Oxy sensors and make sure the connectors are tight and the wires are not broken.

Huh?

Come on... you really need to focus on explaining yourself properly, and using the English language the way it's suppose to be used.

Otherwise, just take it to a reputable repair shop and pay them.

yryr999;

Did you inspect the 02 sensors as requested? You never reported back.

This sounds like something was done to the sensors during the muffler installation.

Did you do the muffler change yourself? Are you using mufflers from another car?

Can you explain what the was happening to the car before the muffler change?

We can help you I'm sure.

That may explain it, but I'll wait for the official word before changing my post.

yryr99 in post #1 apparently changes mufflers with 2006 GM parts, (new or used ?)
States that car is a "miss" or a mess?

CEL on 02 sensor codes displayed.

States that car runs loud without mufflers, does that mean he took them off? He also states car is not running (will) well?

Post 4 - CEL comes on after 2 minutes from engine start. He must have a flasher to be able to clear codes or is he just disconnecting the battery each time?.

Post 7 - can't be sure if yryr999 is stating fact or just supposing.

Post 12 - He completes inspection of 02 sensors and wiring, states that all seems OK.

Cleared codes again, car ran good all day. Shutdown and restart brings CEL with 02 codes in just 5 seconds.

I'm wondering if yryr999 is talking about mufflers or CATS. Could there be a broken EGR valve tube or holes in the exhaust system.

I'm thinking a trip to the repair shop is in order. Our information is incomplete or incorrect due to communication limitations.

Here is link that explains the 02 system and causes of malfunctions;
