Today, I decided to wax the Marauder with the Turtle Wax Black Box kit. Satisfied with my results, I grabbed a disposable camera that had several pictures left on it and went for a cruise and took some pictures.

I lack any photography skills and, combined with the crappy disposable, here are the results.

The first couple are from a place I shot at back in March. This is the Painesville City Depot, which is due to be a railroad museum whenever they get around to renovating it.

I kinda like this one.

I went back to WBKC-1460, which is an old AM radio station that hasn't been used in a long time. There really wasn't any good way to take any worthwhile pictures back there.

While leaving the radio station, I got stopped by a train. I tried to get a train + Marauder shot but it did not come out. But here's the Black Box'd hood.

Up to the cemetery to get a couple pictures on the ridge...

Down to COE Manufacturing, which is right by my house:

I kinda dig how the sun glare didn't get in the way of the car.

This one looked better in black 'n' white.

Don't bother giving me photography tips...it was a $5 disposable I had laying around with 15 exposures left on it. I wasn't expecting greatness, nor is photography a hobby of mine by any stretch!

Don't sell yourself short. There is nothing wrong with the pics you took. To bad the train pics didn't work out as there is something about trains that exudes coolness. Are your rear wheels widened?
Your car has a nice stance in some of the pics. Also like the lower grille mod.

Thanks for the compliments. And I agree with you about trains + cars = cool (unless it's a car + train collision).

My rear wheels are not widened. Those are 285/50/18's.

How are they holding up on the stock rims?

They are holding up great.

Tony (trash) has accumulated way more miles on the same tires and has had no problems or irregular wear patterns.

Thanks a lot!

I took it to the strip today for test 'n' tune. My previous best 1/4-mile in the car was 15.2 @ 94mph. That was with the trunk organizer, spare, and jack in the trunk. Only had a tune at that point. And it was like 85 degrees.

I ran without the trunk organizer today. Had a K&N this time, and it was 20 degrees cooler.

14.60 @ 96.5mph
Also had a 14.77 @ 97mph prior to this.

Reaction times were crap back in the summer. Now I'm consistently hitting .20 RT's. Slow but steady progress! I know it's not blistering fast, but I'm happy. http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif

Sweet. That's a great time for only a tune and the K&N FIPK.

Also: car looks realy great - I also really liked the turtle wax black box kit.
Want to come over and do my MM?? :D

If you have the dedication to drive to my house and supply your own wax, I'll do it.

That's a great time for only a tune and the K&N FIPK. I'm sure there's more time to be shaved off if I pull the spare tire. Honestly...I'd like to run with someone else's stock (or 255/55) tires and see what it runs, just to see how bad the 285's are affecting me. I'm not getting rid of the 285's, but it would be nice to know what the car runs with smaller tires...

The pictures turned out great. The car looks awesome too. Did you use the clay bar system too by any chance. If not try it before you wax and I think you will be more amazed. Great job man!!

It's definitely an early build #, and a highway star to boot. That said, the paint has a couple things wrong with it and seems rather thin.

I'm probably being too paranoid, but for now I can't bring myself to clay it.

First thing I did when mine came up from Florida (when I purchased it) was clay'ed it. It's worth the time. It looked awsome. Do it. You won't be sorry.

All of the pics are really good. You have an eye for nice shots. Too bad you missed the MM + Train shot.

Ergh, maybe in the spring...or if we get a nice 70-degree day here (doubtful). Either way, I'm procrastinating because I'm too chicken to do it!!! :shake:
