I noticed that several car organization in the area have MD specialty plates designed for their club/organizations (i.e., corvette, mustang, etc). Has anyone thought about doing this for the MM being that we seem to have more than a few in the area? If this has been mention before please disregard.

For this, we'd need to be organized into an official club. (In Maryland)

First we need to see actually how many MARYLAND members we have, I believe requires a certain number. I'm part of the Mustang club of Maryland but I haven't ordered tags since I'm enjoying the cheap insurance/tag fees as it's listed historic lol.

I would be down for a tag for the MM.

In Virginia, I believe that you need a pre-order of 250 plates to even get it approved and on the list of VA plates. MD is probably similar. Good Luck.

I haven't worn Maryland tags on any of my cars since MD wanted to double tax me on a car back in 1980 just to register the car even though I was a Maryland resident at the time and had paid the sales tax to the state in which I bought the car. I pointed out that the "Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act" prevented me from being taxed twice on the same item; but that didn't prevent them from trying. Maryland Sucks !!!
