I'm sure all of this has been said before, but I gotta get it out of my system so I can move on!!

We have bought 4 cars and leased 1 from the dealership we got the MM at. Up until this deal I thought I liked doing business there. They HAD a great service mngr. New guys nice enough I guess, but lacks in brains. The salesman's a good guy. In fact for the sale of the MM I worked mostly with the owner, but wanted this salesman to get the credit for the sale.

The list of *#!% I've caught them lying about just gets longer every time I walk in the door. Well, the cars do for it's first "free" oil change. After today's experience I can't go in there again!!! My husband is going to p/u the winter tires/wheels and I'm going to pay my regular guy to change the oil (Hubby says he'll do it, but somehow he "forgets"). I can't even bring my self to trust them to put on the stupid wheels and change the oil!!!

They sent that survey of your experience from Mercury. I was told by a previous emp. that if the get even one avg. mark they get their a**'s chewed. There's always the chance I may need them some day?? I also like the salesman. He did his job. It's the owner that's the problem.:mad2:

I hate this!!!

Well thx I feel a little better now.

Pls share any other experiences re: the like.

J

Do the survey and be honest. They need you more than you need them. Don't worry about getting stiffed. Each time you go back, they'll be looking for a GOOD survey from you. Ford takes notice of bad surveys, not just the owner.
If you sugar coat.....you'll get crap in exchange.
Don't forget to give them HIGH marks if they do their job first class.

I know how you feel about the lies some salesman tell at the dealerships . I just did the next best thing-told him no on the unrealistic deal , drove over 100 miles to another dealership that treated me with respect and had knowledge of the MM , took a picture of my MM , and sent it to him with a message ( This is the deal you lost for lying to me-get bent you Pr:censor:K!!!)

Well, I think I have come up with a solution to the ignorant salesman. About a month ago, I was in for an oil change--the Sales manager called me to his office and introduced me to 3 new salesmen--he didn't have a Marauder on property and he asked if he could use mine for training--I said O K, then he asked me to train them !!!!!!Well, there are 3 salespersons who know what a Marauder is--didn't get to take them for a ride due to time restrictions. Today I was in to see if he had received his DTR--no such luck. Well, this time I got a 6 ft blond knock-out and a fine young black man to train. I took them for a ride first--they will never be the same !!! I took out all the stops and had no traffic on the expressway--0-80/60-90/tight "S" turn--then a complete walk-around and technical briefing. They were all over the SM to get a Marauder on the lot !!! The techs are well trained, they are getting the new wheel alignment equipment, but are not equipped for advanced chip work and admit it. My car is only serviced by one of two techs--oil changes and all. Will be having my 15,00 mile check-up in a couple weeks
--no complaints now---just having a ball--can't wait till the salesmen start pushing the Marauder--the dealership has sold about 15 Marauders--mostly picked up from other dealers and auctions---if you can't beat them, train them.

cruzer: I don't think the 6ft blond knockout was really there. I think that you imagined the whole thing. You're just pulling our collective legs here.
If you wish to prove it, post the pics. ........please. Pretty please, with sugar on top?

I told ya Jackie, it's rough out there. And you're OUT there as far as location. I know it's a run, but the folks at Liberty on rockside road know me well, and will take care of your MM.**

Lou the mechanic is trustworthy and down to earth. Avoid everyone else!

jbr927- better late than never:

I feel the same. The last service guy I saw (at the third dealer I've tried) basically said that if someone came in quoting an internet site for service info he'd show him the door.

I've never been insulted quite that directly before.
