I have a 2000 Grand Marquis and have been a member of CVN for a while. I have been attempting to make my car more Marauder-like so I figured I'd join and admire some cars I wish I could have.

Here are a few pics of my car after I color-matched the grille, rear fascia and tinted the corners... The Mercury emblem is removed in the pictures from when I painted the grille. All that's left is new wheels which are coming soon.

You do what you can when you don't have the money to get the real thing... my college budget doesn't allow me to buy a Marauder, although I wish it did. I know it looks nothing like a Marauder, I'm not trying to imitate, I just wanted certain elements that I felt looked nicer, such as color matched grille, rear fascia etc.

I had a notion to paint the rear chrome trim on "Lil Sis" like you did in the pics.
I also contemplated painting the chrome strip in the bumper.
Now I feel it would be an excellent mod after seeing your rig.

Thanks guys, I've been contemplating painting the chrome strips as well, I though about just using the 3m body tape, it comes in silver frost and is almost the correct width, only a slight amount of trimming will be necessary. I've seen a few others use that to black out their cars and it looks good.
