Ok, Just wondering... lets say i could pick up a 45k mile marauder with a smashed rearend on it (no frame damage, just tree falling into it damage) and i was to swap the frame onto a CVPI and swap as much marauder stuff over as I could, including interior, front fascia, ect. . Would it still be considered a marauder?

Why spend so much time and just be aggrivated with it because it would never get finished? besides, aren't they cheap enough for you yet?

Or why not just repair the rear end damage on the real one?

Is this the one in Texas for $7500 obo? Saw it on Hemmings site this morning. FWIW just check w/ a body shop for a ballpark estimate on repairs cost.

Its been said one and it will be asked again, But for your reading pleasure, consider George Washington's Axe, Locke's Socks, Plato's Carriage, and the Ship of Theseus.

Although in the case of cars, the VIN marks the car, loose the body, and the vin goes with it.

But the VIN is attached to the dash and if you swap the dash...

The stickers on the doors, fenders and such can easily be removed and/or replaced... just saying.

Think about it, if ya damage a fender, a door, a hood, are you really sure it came from another Marauder? More or less likely no. Cause the bodyshop is going to sand it down, repair what needs repaired and repaint it, reattach the Marauder door panel and send you on your merry way

So in all fairness, the only thing that makes a Marauder a Marauder is the VIN which is attached to the dash.

sound's like a rear clip would work, (cut windsheild post's and across floor under seat's)

the vin is in more places than the dash and stickers...

do they still put them on motors these days?

I don't think so....there are Casting #'s and such on the motor but they aren't for the vin.

There is a vin tag on the engine bay side of the firewall i think tho, im sure its somewhere else too. Good luck ever trying to peel one of them stickers off the doorjam, anyone who says its easy has never attempted it.

there are so many hidden vins on car bodies, like tons and tons of them. You would be making a grey area bastard child car.

There are many VINs located on the car. All the major parts have one plus there are some in secret places.

Just buy a real MM and be done with it!
