A curious question popped into my head, and the search on this site is useless (searching rims somehow gave me totally unrelated threads like the temporary shoutbox thread....)

Who made our rims? I know this question has been asked... Is the answer alcoa? Surely ford could have designed and made such a nice rim...

The only thing that would make me say that they arent alcoa's, would be that they arent peeling like my bronco rims and my brothers SRT rims :D

Might be stamped on the back somewhere

Unless its in a code, its not on the back of the rim. I just replaced all four with new OEM rims. Just says Ford and the part number and a few other numbers on it.

Alcoa is the OEM of our rims.

Define peeling? As in the clear-coat isn't peeling?

Cause high polished forged aluminum won't peel. Just discolor if not clear-coated or sealed with something like Zoop Seal.

They were made to FORD specs, not GM or Fiat's. :D
