Well, Monday morning I thought my Marauder would not start.
It did, and the rest of the week it started OK.
Did not want the Marauder to sit for the weedend and have a starting problem on monday, again.
I used a battery analyzer and it said only 296 CCA with 100 percent charge.
The health was a 0.
Went and purchased a new battery.
Lot cheaper than waiting, then having a tow when battery crapped out.
I have to say the Ford Motorcraft battery lasted great as my Marauder was built in Dec 2002.
It was a 84 month battery with 83 months on it.

Even better than than that you can get that same battery from the dealer for just a small amount more than from one of the crap auto parts stores. And I worked in one for 9 yrs, believe me, they are crap. That is probably one of the few things from the dealer that is worth the full retail price.

They QC them to the last month in the warranty and "they" (whoever they are) did good with yours!!!

There are many variables which will determine battery life, such as temperature and humidity (amongst others). The original Motorcraft battery in my '07 Crown Vic recently started giving me problems for absolutely no apparent reason. It would charge fine, then if the car would sit for more than a week (as I now have two county vehicles which I use on alternating weeks) the battery would be dead. A quick jump with the E-350 and it would charge throughout the day and be fine the next. ALL the radio equipment, lights, etc. are turned off with a master switch when it's parked, so I have no idea why this was happening. I have installed a battery tender on both vehicles and, so far, have not had any more problems. I never had problems with the Marauder's battery when it sat for weeks at a time in the garage -- go figure?
